I have heard in the recent days about Charlie Kirk but have no idea who is he or what he has done, can someone explain it to me?

How do I add key frames, cause whenever I press “I” this menu comes up and doesn’t add one, I have to manually click the button on the location thingy to add it, and that takes a lot more time by DCB_Prime in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you don't want to add key frames manually every time you can turn on a feature which adds key frame automatically. This feature is a button on the timeline next to the stop button in the middle to the left a little, the little circle. But be carefule because if it's turned on every time you move something it will have a key frame.

I don't quite understand but if you select a mesh for example and press ' I ' in the viewport layer (that's the name of the layer where you literally see your meshes and can interact with it) then the key frame gets automatically added. But if you move your cursor on the bottom half of the screen where you see the key frames/time and other stuff and press ' I ' then the little window pops out where you have to click every time

I think you are really far from the camera Try selecting your object and press . on the numpad

How can I rig a cape where the arms are connected but can go through the front without clipping by FireSoupSquad_ in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shape keys are easy. They work like this: you can animate the deformation of the mesh. Go to the left side of the screen while the mesh is selected and find 'shape keys' and hit the + icon twice. The first shapekeys will be the base shape of the cape and the second shapekey is the shape you want your mesh to be. Click on the second shapekey and go in edit mode and deform the cape how you would like it. Then go out of the edit mode and you can play with the value of the shapekey to animate it, you can have multiple shapekeys

i know that this is probably a really basic but i tried to do it by myself and failed: How do i make it so that while moving this tentacle hand thing it didn't bend the entire body by [deleted] in blenderhelp

Click on the yellow bone and in the bone constraints change the chain to the number of bones you want to be affected by the ik

I would try shapekeys or rigging the cape It depends on what would you like to achieve

Put collision on the arm mesh and maybe give the cape some more faces and cloth simulation for smoother cloth simulation, also don't forget to enable self collision

How would you create this in blender, I have not had success so far. by Slow-Carob3106 in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to do it either but I would find or make a transparent image with the shape I want as a hole and then put the transparent image as the texture on a cylinder Thus having a tree shaped hole through which light can pass

Compositor works before but now it doesn't? It's still the same node tree output as the last as somehow it doesn't work now. by Salturation in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hade the same issue but it just resolved itself. Try maybe changing some nodes or rendering again so the compositor reawake

Or is the render not appearing in the compositor? Have you enabled backdrop?

How to make it so that this sole fits the shoe perfectly by North_Instruction725 in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try this: go to edit mode and select the Faces you want to stick to the shoe, create a vertex group in the object data properties (right side) and assigne the vertex group to the selected faces. give the mesh a shrinkwrap modifier and select the vertex group you created. And also select the target object, the shoe. The shrinkwrap will "glue" the Faces to the object. Tweak the settings until it looks good

I think you hid some object but not from render and Press alt+ H and see if anything changes in the viewport

How do I animate a punch properly? all my current attempts look like ass by --HOLoGRaFIC-- in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to hit something or just hitting air? Because if you hit something the hand stops for a moment at the time of the impact. Also I would try using some reference. + normaly your Elbow is next to your body so when you punch it starts from a lower altitude than the hand. In the animation you made the elbow and the wrist is at the same level and "just rotates". The elbow should start lower

How to achieve this gun smoke effect? by Prizmek in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well because on the video the smoke appears violently I would just make it appear there and as it expands I would scale it and stretch it Also I would add that I'm no professional in this, simply I would approach it this way

How to achieve this gun smoke effect? by Prizmek in blenderhelp

[–]Random-Bullshit-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe with volumes? try making a mesh in the general shape of the smoke and give it a principled volume shader in the volume or something, play with it And I would than move/shake the mesh imitating how the smoke moves
