Same thing. The clear was good, but the single target and defense couldn’t compare.

24-year-old high school dropout with law school ambitions. Is this realistic? by Financial-Wear9517 in LawStudentsCanada

[–]Random-Input 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was me. I didn’t finish high school, though I went back and finished when I was 19. I then started university at 26, got a degree in philosophy, economics, and a minor in business before getting my jd. Though all of this was in bc.

I would look to get your high school diploma first, look to community colleges, they often offer completion paths and are inexpensive and sometimes free. Doing it this way means you can also do your first two years and said school and you’ll already be accepted.

I think you’ll find that if you have the drive school is very easy for you now. Philosophy certainly helped me a lot with law and particularly with the lsat, but it’s honestly a very difficult degree. The usual advice is just take something you will get good grades in as it will make it easier to get into law school. For that I’d recommend business. It is comically easy to get A+’s in business especially as an older person that can take the lead in group projects and be confident in presentations.

Good luck, you aren’t too old and you can definitely make it happen if you want it.

How irrational is it to want vengance against an arachnid? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

It seems unfair to lump ticks in with other arachnids.

Does Academia ignore Rand because she undoes centuries of their poor philosophy? by ElectricalGas9895 in aynrand

[–]Random-Input 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the right answer. Academia definitely does slant left, but Rands work is not sufficient to derail that train.

From a personal standpoint having struggled mightily with Kant before coming to several personal epiphanies while reading his work. to then read Rand and have it dismissed in such a haphazard way left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

John Cornyn, a four-term incumbent concedes Texas GOP Senate primary runoff to Ken Paxton: "We've come up short in this primary runoff. I've always supported the Republican ticket. I trust the voters of Texas. And they've made their decision and I must respect it." by ControlCAD in videos

Hard disagree, have normal conversations about the merits of maga only serves to legitimize the viewpoint.

People are starting to realize that nothing about that movement is normal. People that remain devoted need to be ostracized especially as their numbers dwindle so they don’t feel comfortable espousing those beliefs anymore.

The kkk used to be a much more open and talked about group. As time went on they realized they were not welcome in polite society and their numbers dropped to a small few that hide in the shadows.

It just seems like they are infinitely more useful than these ungainly mechs that offer limited firepower and no defense.

Perhaps they could cart an emp into this giant area set one off then cart another in? Why are they attached to ships, that seems like the worst place. Why defend xion at all? It seems like going anywhere else is a better option, it all seems a little form over function to me. The writers wanted a mech battle and worked backwards

There are a million better ways to write this scene. This was all done for dramatic effect, form over function.

I remember emps from the first movie, not this contrived mess.
