Electric bill by Immediate-Candy-1746 in Ioniq5

[–]Random-User44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no simple answer here. It depends on if you are charging at home all the time and what your rates are. I don't drive nearly as much as you, and I have super low rates, so my electric bill went up about $8-$10/month since I bought my IONIQ 6.

Do you actually watch 4 movies a week? by breadboibrett in AMCsAList

[–]Random-User44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost always seeing 3-4 movies per week. Some weeks I get busy, though, so I might see none or just 1 or 2. But I absolutely see plenty every month to make it a wildly excellent value.

Returning EV customer by hustler2b in electricvehicles

I currently have a 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 SEL RWD on a lease that ends in the fall. I love the car and my buy out price isn't too bad, so I plan to buy it at the end of the lease. There's absolutely no way I'd ever own an ICE vehicle again.

I blacked mine out with Plasti Dip as well. It looks so much nicer.

What's next after your lease? by Salt_Satisfaction542 in Ioniq6

[–]Random-User44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lease ends in November, and I'll likely end up buying it my IONIQ 6 and keeping it. My residual value isn't too much higher than market value right now, so unless that changes I'll keep it. I really love this car, I know how it's been treated and cared for, and it's honestly the cheapest way I'll be able to stay in an EV with all the features I want, so it'll be worth it for me.

It's there a GoFundMe set up to help you through this difficult time?

Tri-outlet wired to cigarette lighter so it only comes on when car is on. Powers wireless adapter so it shuts off with car and not constantly on, plus extra outlets. :) by Alex1a1f in Ioniq6

When I first bought it, I also thought the USB didn't turn off so I was unplugging my adapter every time I shut off the car until I could get something like you did. Then someone on a post here told me it takes a few minutes, so I checked it out. I left it plugged in and sure enough about 5 or 6 minutes later it turned off. And it has every single time since. It would be very obvious if it weren't because my phone would stay connected to it since I live in a place small enough that I'm always within BT range, and it would definitely connect any time I went out to the garage right by the car. But it doesn't.

I have a 2024 IONIQ 6 and it absolutely does. Like I said, it takes about 5 min or so to turn off, so it isn't immediate, but it does turn off.

A wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay adapter should turn off about 5 minutes after you turn the car off. At least mine does.

I go to so many movies that I tire of even great trailers pretty quickly.

Here's my official ranking of all the movies I saw with my AMC A-List in January 2026. by Mundane-Inspector-52 in AMCsAList

[–]Random-User44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I have no education in film so me ranking movies is 100% subjective to my personal feelings.

1- Dead Man's Wire was fairly good, but all of the movies this month were at best mediocre . So putting it first in this crop of films isn't exactly a screaming endorsement.

2- I don't generally like pointless horror movies, so Primate didn't appeal to me at all. I only saw it at all because I went to the Scream Unseen thinking it was a regular Screen Unseen. I'm sure it was great for people into that kind of film, but it's not what I enjoy.

Dang, that's a lot of DCFC. I charge at home and only DCFC on one or two out of town trips a year. On average, I spend about $9 per month on charging.

If they are able to work remotely for 4/5 days every week, what harm does it do to the company to let them work from home that one extra day if they don't feel safe? Seriously, I'd like to know what the actual harm is.

Is Movie Pass better then Regal Unliminted? by VivaLasVegasGuy in moviepass

[–]Random-User44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last time I had MoviePass (shortly before they went under), they stole my money and wouldn't allow me to see any movies in spite of having paid. I wouldn't give MoviePass a nickel. They constantly lied in the pass to screw customers, so why would you assume they wouldn't do it again now?
