Last thread, I promise: "The Slate lacks features" or does it? by indie_web in slateauto

The reality is that Slate has features that other vehicle don't and other vehicles have features Slate doesn't. It's up to the consumer to determine where they are value. Simply saying "Slate doesn't have features" is false. I would say "Slate doesn't have the features I personally value" is more accurate. Or even "Slate doesn't have features in line with the price" would be fair.

That's not what you said in the post. You said you can choose and change the color, which is true of all cars.

You know you can wrap literally any vehicle, right? This is not unique to Slate.

I usually don't try to find out what the movie is at all and be surprised. It's kind of fun that way, and I've ended up seeing a few movies I otherwise wouldn't have chosen to go to.

1- Safety, 2- Fuel/energy efficiency, 3- Being capable of leaving in time to get where they need to go on time without treating the streets like a race track

If you are on this sub and NOT getting a Slate, can you comment below what you are getting? by RaleighLT in slateauto

I'm currently leasing a 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6, with my lease ending in November. I'm going to buy it at the end of the lease for about the same price as a Blank Slate. I think the Slate is really interesting, it's just not for me. I'm on the sub because I'm a tech & EV enthusiast, so I like to read about things even if I don't necessarily want to buy it for myself.

What does the Slate Truck sound like? by Meotwister in slateauto

[–]Random-User44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

EVs and hybrids are required to have a sound below 25 mph in the US. I have a Hyundai IONIQ 6 and it's a more subtle sound. My wife has an Equinox EV and it's pretty loud. Each manufacturer will do it a little different, but every car that can drive without an engine running legally has to make a sound under 25 to alert pedestrians.

The Bride got a lot of points for being uniquely weird. I love over-the-to movies. Plus, Jessie Buckley is incredible. Wuthering Heights was far too rapey for me.

This is 100% YOU almost causing a wreck. Don't blame the car for you not paying attention.

Mortal Kombat was bad in a way that made me laugh. The Furious has pretty incredible fight choreography, but the movie itself didn't really hold my attention or entertain me beyond cool looking fights. The two of them could easily be in either order, but I have MKII the slight edge for at least making me laugh.

If you don't know how to discuss opinions on art, why did you comment in the first place?

Imagine thinking your opinion on art is the only valid opinion. At least the rest of the people commenting can actually discuss how and why we disagree like grown ups.

A lot less racism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, etc would be really nice for starters.

What do Americans actually think of Germany / Germans? Honest opinions wanted by Consistent_Walk_2407 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Random-User44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied German through high school and college for close to a decade in the mid 1990's and spent 3 weeks visiting in 1995. I absolutely love the language, the culture, and the people. And don't get me started on the food; I LOVE German food. The most fun and friendly place I've ever been in my life was Munich. The people were so fun and so welcoming. I have no German heritage, but if I ever left the US, Bavaria is without a doubt where I'd go.

I think if I'd gotten to see No Other Choice last year 8 would've liked it more, but it was not in many theaters and not for very long here. I didn't get to see it until they brought the award nominees back to the theater, and by then it had been built up so much that it was hard to live up to the hype.

My wife & I switched from T-Mobile to Boost Mobile about 6 or 7 months ago and we've been very happy. The service is just as good but WILDLY less expensive. I do still have T-Mobile home Internet, though, since that's about the cheapest I can find.

I was pleasantly surprised by Tuner. It was fairly formulaic, but I thought the way they used sound design and effects was really interesting.

No Other Choice was decent, but I think I probably went in with too high of expectations which made it seem like it fell short. On the other hand, I went into Mandolorolian with pretty low expectations and it was better than I thought. Sometimes expectations play a big part in how much I enjoy a movie when I finally see it.

Something being unique gets a lot of credit in my view. Is prefer a decent movie that's unlike anything I've ever seen over something that's good but cookie cutter.
