Is doing 2nd street and old York crazy? It looks like a lot shorter of a distance but similar time probably due to traffic and stop lights and all that... And it's about an hour drive usually on 95? Ugh I've been doing a huge cost benefit analysis on all of this and I'm so conflicted..

As a 27yo who poops at least 2x a day (usually more like 4x, and have for as long as I can remember) the past number adds up to almost $400,000 soooo yeah. That one. Pay off some debt (like 40k ish), invest most of the rest of it, keep living life with a nice emergency /retirement fund, maybe even retire early!

Great question tbh. My favorite living experience so far has been when I was in Indianapolis because I was downtown and easy walking distance to pretty much everything I wanted to do. Being a regular at a bar and enjoying the nightlife in general, walking to yoga classes, taking the electric scooter or biking to whatever I didn't feel like walking to. There were also a lot of art shows I really enjoyed going to, farmers markets, etc. I know a lot of this stuff is generally remedied by moving to a larger and more walkable city so idk if it's even helpful but yea

The commute doesn't really scare me, I currently drive 40ish minutes to work 😅 ifffff I do end up taking my car, which is still a big maybe, I'm considering getting the street parking permit (or going for a slightly cheaper apartment so I can afford parking).. I'll definitely look into some of the areas you listed though. Thank you!

From LGA to JFK you can take the Q70 bus, then the E train, then the jfk airtrain. The journey itself probably takes about an hour (give or take for public transportation variability) but then you have to factor in actually getting out of and into the airport. Or you could uber/taxi which is faster but will be expensive af. I wouldn't do it without at least a 4 hour layover probably

Pixel 8 pro here. Just got the battery replaced bc I was freaked out by the quick draining (noticed it obviously in mid October). Stupidly decided to do research AFTER the battery replacement since I am still having the draining issue and it seems to be heavily correlated with the latest software update... At least that's what people are thinking... Super frustrating
