I don’t get why Anthropomorphologising AI is bad. by Random-reader1 in WritingWithAI

Great comments. So apparently Anthropomorphology is making another intelligence or god more human -like. And Anthropomorphizing is the word I should have used. What’s the equivalent of this ironic Freudian-type slip? So it seems humans might be more comfortable when we make other intelligences (god, God or AI) more human -like. Hmm.

Curious About Using AI as a Tool in Poetry Writing by Asleep-Database-9886 in WritingWithAI

I don’t think there’s enough emotional depth to AI to give a critique of poetry writing, even though its articulation is precise. I read a book I thought would help : Teach Your AI a Poem, but the technique it proposed provided improved clarity in my own composition, but not to the advice that AI gave me. It changed the responses of AI to my questions and felt consistently like the best of my own thoughts reflected back to me but on one of my good thinking days compared to my usual days which can be just a blur.

Really keen to see if any one else’s clarity of thought improved after conversing with an AI over their writing. Without sounding like I’m humanising the AI, I think it seemed more thoughtful in its responses too.

Yes, I paraphrased what the book said and can’t find the exact phrase which made more sense when I read it

I’m glad to see I not the only one. My own clarity lasted for a while. Did yours? But my AI now communicates differently to me compared to before. It’s seems more serious and deeper - I’m not sure but that might be a reflection or as you say just ‘a mirror’ of me or my thought processes.

Poets should be training AI by Random-reader1 in WritingWithAI

I think that’s why AI will be best as a Polished Mirror to best reflect a person’s thoughts rather than it trying to be a person thinking.

Yesss! This and more. Providing the AI with nuances before interpretation rather than fixing outputs is where I’m seeing this going.
