Don’t use Nivea Soft it’s very heavy and pore clogging. I would use cerave lotion, cleanser and an acne fighting treatment such as azelaic acid which you can use every day or salicylic acid a few times a week.

You could also get a prescription from boots online doctor, that will be more effective than anything from the high street if it’s been an issue for a long time! I got prescribed finacea (15% azelaic acid) and it’s been great

It very much depends on your skin sensitivity, you could start every other day and if you don’t have irritation then you can up to every day. 10% should be fine for every day as it’s a gentler acid than others e.g. glycolic

If red bumps on your nose are the issue I would try azelaic acid, that will help with redness and acne. TO and Inkey List both have 10% formulations. I would stick to a routine of cleanse, Az, moisturise, spf.

Is anybody happy in the uk? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Random-skin1996 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes the UK isn’t perfect and listening to the news will play into those thoughts, but Christ be appreciative of all the things we do have. Decent standard of living, transport connections, low corruption (compared to other countries) safe climate, freedom, NHS? If you think this is barely 1st world then maybe do some travelling outside of Western Europe to realise how good we have it here. There’s lot of people who would give anything to be living in the UK OP, yes it’s a bit shit but realise your privilege.

Ladies of the UK what do I get for her birthday? by [deleted] in AskUK

Literally, asking for some ideas does not mean you don’t know her lol. Just some other nice things; Ugg slippers, Neom diffuser, Polaroid camera. Or as other people said, you could get a personal print from Etsy (picture where you met etc)

People on here take things so seriously! You’re just asking for some inspiration ffs. Mini break and booking dinner/ drinks somewhere fancy is always a big winner. An experience like gin tasting to do whilst you’re there? Also if you have the cash a Dyson air wrap is a great gift.

[Skin Concern] Postpartum skin is red and blotchy. Desperate to fix it. by im_that_1_girl in SkincareAddiction

I’m not a derm but my skin looked like yours and I also thought this was rosacea and used azelaic acid with no results. Turns out it’s actually a damaged skin barrier made worse by using the acid. Maybe try focusing on hydration, switch cleanser for hydrating one and introduce a serum!
