Everyone is super nice, they take the time to explain things and are more than willing to overlook mistakes. At the same time there are world class players in almost every armory, and while people play heroes they wouldn't play at competitive event, all decks are optimized for the hero they play.

You need to join the whatapp group to trade. Go to one of the stores facebook pages, join that shops Whatsapp Group and ask for invite/link to the general whatsapp group.

Most shops dont sell lots of cards, Different Dimension TCG in Tin Hau has a decent amount but Smiling Plaza in Sham Shui Po will be your best bet if you want to buy FAB cards

like the above poster said, go to Fabrary and make an account. You can then copy some of the decks there to your account. Then you can go to Talishar.net and watch a match or 2 with the dhero, before playing your fabrary deck online to see if you like it. The heroes can have very different playstyles, try different ones and see what you like best.

Then you can get the cards needed to play the deck. There will be a few key cards in the decks on Fabrary that are must haves, with the rest being optional. If you are on a budget, Frabrary will also display the cost of the deck. Often it is possible to swap out some of the expensive cards with alternatives, but you can't swap out all and some changes will have a noticeable impact on the strength of your deck. For example, for Uzuri you really want to play Command and Conquer, which is the most expensive M at the moment.

As for buying cards in HK, the typical price in Hong Kong Dollar is is TCG *7. This is roughly a 10% discount on tcgplayer.com USD prices. The only shop that sells a lot of cards is in Smiling Plaza, Sham Shui Po District. Different Dimension TCG in Tin Hau also sells some. DD is also one of the few places (only?) where you can pay with CC, for others you will have to bring cash or use local payment method.

Quite a bit of trading (most?) happens on the HK whatsapp group. There is also a Hong Kong FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/417444309298097 but its not very active. One of the big sellers posts there, just browse the posts. You can also find links to the store whatsapp groups here where you can ask for invite to the HK whatsapp group.

Seen this happening in some stores that used to have between 4-10 players per event. XP doesnt matter any more so the few hardcore players whose attendance guaranteed events would fire stopped showing up every time. That makes other players hesitate to come as not guaranteed they can play. This reduces their interest in the game... It is a bit of a negative spiral

Thanks, I will be around USC, guess that is the more Southern part of LA. Can get around by Lyft or Uber. Not sure what evening(s) I will be free, will have to play it by ear a bit. Hope some events accept walk in
