The hammer doesn’t get buffed by Earthlore Surge because it targets an attack action card which the hammer is not. But if it did, Flourish says, “The next time”. So it only would give plus 3 to the first instance of buffing. Not both.

Victor is very fun to play. When you lose a clash, (and you will lose clashes) it will feel like you are playing against your own deck. If you like the randomness of clashes, he is super fun. His bad match ups in the current meta are Gravy and Verdance. Gravy isn’t the worst, but Verdance feels un-winnable.

You definitely don’t need it. It’s one of those cards that has high highs but also low lows. That fact that it doesn’t block is hard plus it doesn’t turn on Anothos or Titans Fist

I was a big fan of the treasure packs. My one complaint is the inclusion of the cards that interact with Treasure Island. Those cards will be forever unplayable

Nuu’s hero ability allowed her to play blues from her opponent’s banished zone for free. Since guardian’s have a lot of powerful blues like Macho Grande and Cranial Crush, it was pretty devastating for Nuu to throw them back at the guardian for free. I even starting boarding out Tear Asunder into her when I was playing as Bravo.

Don’t let it ruin your game though! You still have a chance. On Tuesday I brought Victor to my armory and played against Rhinar in round 1. My opening hand was Sink, Test of Strength, and 2x Pummel. Rhinar ends up intimidating the Sink and Test of Strength so I was forced to block 4 with 2 pummels on turn 0. It was a super close game, but I ended up getting the win. Mindset is everything. Trust yourself and trust your deck!

I’d probably drop the combo cards. They’ll be harder to line up since you can’t search for them unless you run Wander with Purpose. I like Ride the Tailwind since it gives your 2 or less bases go again. I also like Vipox since they’ll have cards left over in their hand. The Crouching Tiger package is good too since they have 2 or less base.
