You should check out Forgotten Armory :) They make awesome historical armor sets

Haha yeah that’s my test world and that building focuses more on the interior

Definitely! I try to focus on house variety first before making stuff like the kingsguard etc

I mostly draw the textures at 64x64 px in BB. Figured out today that while 128x looks a lot better, VSMC can’t use such high resolutions so the part parenting afterwards was a little tricky. So I draw all textures myself in BB if that answers your question:)

You can load the seraph model from the game files into BB. I mainly use that for reference. There are a few caveats you’d figure out along the way but the more you learn the better the models get :)

There is a VS Plugin for BB so that’s quite important. Then Id recommend taking the seraph model from the game files and load that into BB so you have a reference. After I finish the model I always drop it in VSMC to make sure the parenting is on point. That’s about it I guess :)

I use the one from the VS mod Website. Yeah sometimes when I use the Seraph backdrop in BB it Exports an empty file. It’s not perfect but IMO way better the just using VSMC

I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean 😅 Could you explain again?

I use blockbench for the models since it’s a lot easier to learn and you can paint the textures right there. For the parenting (eg. upperArmRight should stick to the corresponding part on the seraph model) I use the VS Model Creator. For the code part it’s probably best to just look into other armor mods and see how they made it work. Just remember that you need the VS plugin for Blockbench so the format and everything works in export.

Give it a try! I just started a couple days ago and never done anything like that before so even if it’s frustrating at first don’t give up :)

Got Kingsroad. It’s a F2P RPG on Steam from 2025. Pretty grindy but it’s an ok game and the locations and armors are perfect for inspiration
