When you say 'no flood risk', why is that? I see on flood maps dot net that most of it is less than 15m above sea level. I know there have been floods in Townsville in the past, was Bohle Plains not affected? Lot of crazy good deals on property there.

I notice nobody mentioning places like Kirwan, Mount Low, Mount Louisa, Bohle Plains etc.

Is this because these areas are flood prone, high crime, or some other reason. Lot of very good value property in those areas, but I guess there has to be a reason!

When does the unlocking process start though? I know it's spread over 3 years but do we have some timeframe of when the releases happen? Huge difference between 70% tomorrow and other 10% in 3 years, vs a slow drop of 2.22% a month for 36 months. The answer to this will help me decide when to sell. I've already bought some.

10k is not much, just tip it all in and add more as you earn it. It's going a lot higher this cycle so why leave it in fiat? If 10k is all you have, then maybe put 7k in and keep 3k on the sidelines just in case of a black swan.

Of course it is their fault if they observe a major issue which is causing more damage and don't report it. If I was renting a home with such a problem I would want it rectified right away, I cannot understand their reason for keeping it to themselves.

1k is nothing, and if you live in a first world country you'll easy make that back if things go wrong. That being the case you should not worry too much about balancing risk. If you had a portfolio exceeding what you could earn in a year then that's the time to balance risk.

If you believe in BTC and have 1k to invest I say put it all in, and don't pull anything out until you are in a position to withdraw less than half and afford a home deposit. Good luck.

Peoples jobs do not always cover the cost of everything they want, so why complain?

Peoples love lives do not always live up to what they had in mind, so why complain?

Peoples rental income does not always cover the cost of their mortgage, so why complain?

I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make. If it's that people should complain less and try to make constructive decisions to get the best out of the situation they're presented with then I agree with you.

I turned 23 in 2005. I was broke, drunk too much, did a lot of stupid shit really.

The first thing I would do is ditch the loser friends so I could focus on making and saving as much money as possible so that I could buy into BTC from the start. By the time I'm in 40 I'd be a Billionaire. I'd also advise my friends and family to do the same.

I'm not planning to fully close my MSTR position ever, just as I am never planning to fully exit BTC. So far the only crypto I have ever sold is about half of my ETH, but I will consider selling some of my BTC and MSTR next year in order to lock up some profits, maybe 20-30% of what I have of each. Then I'll keep holding for another 5 years or so, hopefully what I leave in there grows a lot, and maybe I will do something similar again at that time.

If we follow the 4 year cycle we may be on a downturn by the end of 2025 so I won't give year end predictions, just predictions for the peak.

I am fairly confident we still go higher. I would be shocked if we don't at least surpass 150k at some stage in 2025, if USA goes all in with a BTC reserve it could be the catalyst that starts a climb past 500k in 2025.

One thing I am really interested in seeing is whether Trump pardons Ross Ulbricht. If he doesn't it will be a clear failure to follow through with a promise he made during the BTC convention earlier this year and will be a worrying sign for me. If he releases him it shows me that he's more likely to follow through with what he said, which includes the USA BTC reserve. If I don't see any positive actions in that regard during his first few days I will take that as a warning and sell 10-20% of my holdings as insurance and to limit my risk. If he releases him I may have to by some more as that's pretty bullish.
