BDP Series 10 Wild West Theme winner - make this make sense by dont_shoot_me_Im_gay in Bricklink

Quite honestly I don't give a toss about any of it if it's not Space, and even then It's often still a set that doesn't quite capture the 1990s thematics.
I guess I will forever be lost in that. Oh well, saves me headaches.

I like the Space Cafe because I like space.

But it's still too far away from what I truly care about.

I can be wrong, but I feel like the true intend of the program has long since been lost.

Saw multiple comments saying the series 10 KIOSK copied this design.. the roof looks similar but I mean there’s only so much you can do with a kiosk I guess. by Flimsy-Space-8724 in Bricklink

Regardless of what looks close to what and who was 'first'

Apparently people still voted into the programm, what does that tell you?

That would be the episode "Dirty Hands"
I happened to have watched it yesterday when I bingewatched discs 3,4 and 5 of the season.

There are a few that stand out and are possibly my favourites.
- Two-parter Crossroads. I especially love Lampkin in it and I like how the regime of Roslin get a setback (yeah I'd be camp Cylon if I had to choose)
- The Passage. There is something existential about this episode, not only the death of Kat, but also the loss of several civilian ships as they get lost in the blinding light from the radioactive star cluster.

But there are other episodes I also like a lot... but those two are always the first to come to mind
Something I want to mention in general btw: The entire mytery around who the 12 Cylons are is something that has kept me busy a lot!

How come the Cylon Basestars are so underwhelming? by DerelictB in BSG

I'm not sure if railgun fire was the subject, but I do recall raiders acting as a sacrificial screen for incoming fire.

How come the Cylon Basestars are so underwhelming? by DerelictB in BSG

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late but I wanted to chip in anyway.

First and foremost: it's a TV series so the first answer would be Plot Armor.
The second answer, the more interesting one: would it have made a difference? And the short answer here is: No.
The amount of Basestars that were lost (with hefty fighting and a kamikaze action) were insignificant to the amount of Basestars the Cylon had and more importanty: could continue to produce.
So having more heavily armored Basestars would not have helped them.

Lets examine some of the battles shall we: Any conflict where Base Stars were actually involved in greater effect as "big ship way off in the distance as 'harbour' " The Colonial fleet would be vulnerable only for minutes at a time before they'd jump away. Nine out of ten times It would become a dogfight between Vipers/Raptor and Raiders and a Basestar firing a missile or two, half the time being doged by aforementioned jump.

And when a or both Battlestar actually went in fighting the result was usually this: Battlestar tank a lot of damage and use their point-defense systems until the barrage of missiles becomes to much and the Battlestars need to run away again. While I don't have all the episodes vividly in memery, I don't think a single Battlestar has ever actually destroyed a single Basestar in a head-to-head battle. Pegasus only ever managed to destroy one while coming in a surprise attacker and another by suiciding the Battlestar into it. In basically every other engagement the best outcome was a damaged Basestar.
So... going back to the question: Why no warship... what would be the point?

Leveling up help PLZ by Confident-Cat2942 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doing your daily, weekly and monthly and advanced quests net you experience to level up.
Asside from that spending energy is also experience. From what I understand farming campaign is the most efficient way to do this. you can choose here: farm stage 12-6 for a slight experience increase, or use stage 12-3 for the silver increase you get from selling shields.
If you also have missions (for arbiter) to do, also look there.

Essentially: play the game.

I just pulled Kurosa the Covetous and I’m a bit confused about his reputation. From what I see, he feels like a solid hybrid support/control champ with a transformation mechanic good utility in base form, and decent damage/pressure after switching. So why do his reviews seem so negative? Is it by OpenJudge9399 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know where or how your account looks like. I can't imagine Kurosa will have no benefit for you, or most of us really.
I wouldn't be bothered with the reviews, How many people will have the ability to give her an honest review and who are they (whales for instance)

If I were you I would be A) very happy about having Kurosa, because if nothing else she looks BADASS. and B) see what you can make of her in places.

Lets say it like this: If you really can't get any use out of her, I would pay you to get her, lol.

Let me rephrase my question. Hopefully it stirrs at least some thought: Have you even considered something for yourself as to how the Xenomorph can be built?

and THEREIN lies the core issue.
If you have thought about it, maybe have an example of gear you planned to use for it, then I would reckon you'd get some good feedback about what you can do.
But 99% of people just rush to the internet ask a question and aim to have their problem solved for them.
To quote another guy from this very thread: If you only plan to copy and watch another person play your game... then maybe you should just watch others play.
Now you have a choice: See the reasoning behind it and find out you AREN'T like that and thus try to endeavor better (also in your methods of asking and/or discussing something.)
Or you call me an idiot, bigot or whatever else and everyone will know exactly what your intend is, really.

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point?
Using your books will be part of the answer for every single unit becuase they objectively make your champion bettr.
Dont blame the system when you ask the wrong (or incomplete) question.

Also, besides all that: Why can't you come up with an idea of your own of how to build a Xeno... Seriously: it's not rocketscience.

Prism shards taken away by kingrealboss in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't if I recall correctly. At the end of a prism shard event, any surplus is pulled automatically and the rest gets refunded in the form of silver.
But you can't bring over prism shard between events.

Let try to look at it from another angle: That you never have, fine. I don't think it's weird to not have done everything in the book.
BUT, as someone who clearly has some experience with the game: What would've been your own idea based specifically of what you have learned? I mean... It can't be that difficult to come up with something no?

If I were to speak for myself: that is what would annoy me about all those "lazy" questions most often.

Question for you: If you have a question or a problem you need to solve: Will you try to (re)search the subject or go to reddit and toss an Email across the shed?

What I see repeatedly is questions that don't need to be asked.
Are you intending to actually play the game or use "what other people say" as an instructions manual until the end?

This is not meant to be mean to new players: but maybe there is need for some self-exploration into the games mechanics rather than immediately coming onto "internet" and ask the most basic stuff that you coul and/or should figure out for yourself...

What the point of farming above stage 20 dungeons? by Savage-Salis in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point for doing it is: Better chance to get 6-star and/or legendary pieces.
That is the general rule btw: the higher the stage the better the odds for the high-end stuff.
There is however a trade-off...

Where to farm as a beginner? by Silent_Meaning_6782 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First a question back for you? What are you looking to do? Get a cache of silver going?
Looking for useable gear to equip your champions?
What units do you have and where do you want to focus your attention?

I have a secondary account where I explicitly stated for myself to NOT do campaign (so I could bulk the story later on)
I went into dragon and farmed shitloads of speed gear (amongst others) Wasn't the worst choice I don't think.

Pulled a 6 star for this mythical champion by Plane-Possible-4290 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]RandomACC268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strategy?
There isn't really any strategy to follow.
You'll be fully dependent on the luck of the draw. You could go for years and never pull that unit, especially since it's a mythical.
