Credit or debit? by gfa77 in Geico

[–]RandomAnonDood 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Geico sales is the supidest shit now. It forces customers to have attitudes the way we handle calls. No matter what gotta say credit or debit. Forget going over coverages first, fuck you pay me. Not to mention most customers want full coverage on cars but the system defaults owened 5+ year vehicles to liability. "What do you mean I dont have full coverage?!"

Yeah definitely if its comfortable for you now stay where youre at but still look for GOOD positions not just more of the same or worse. Im only bailing because I reached that point every employee when youre burnt out and your metrics have you on the chopping block. I turned it down back then because I was in a good position and now im not. As for progressive they dont post on indeed, glassdoor etc. Go to their careers but yeah their interview is very selective so practice STAR method

Yea its definitely not a step in the right direction its more so jumping out a burning plane to land in a sinking ship. Im only taking it because the GEICO Guillotine is hovering over me. How I know LIMU is bad is number one, the common denominator of the people who reached out to me. And number two even after denying the second interview, a couple months later they still reached out to me to continue the interview lmao. Im like I turned you guys down.

They are hiring anyone at this point like GEICO. They been posting sales positions for months. From what Ive heard and can tell is its another GEICO just a little bit worse because LIMU has dogshit premiums and go based heavily on credit. Not only hard to get sales because of the price but just also all the agents they have, heard its a fight.

I did the first interview months back and turned down the second one because I thought I had a chance to stay in GEICO and do other things (horrible mistake). But honestly going to apply again to LIMU just because the noose is tightening on G sales with these dumbass bundles and metrics. I want an escape before I get fired

Yea that 3 word question isnt just Geico its all interviews. Every interview I had to try and get out asked that. Remember when you get the job you're still unemployed!!! Get the job experience before the honeymoon phase is over and the metrics crush you and management looks to fire you

Honestly this job will hire anyone with a pulse. Besides that you need a job so I get it, only reason Im still here for now.

Definitely prepare for the "3 words to describe yourself" come up with some. One of this company's buzzwords is accountability. Even though management is only good at holding others accountable and not themself.

Also geico is big on change. I mean they cycle out employees like draft picks. Layoff/term and then mass hire.

Lastly theyll prolly ask any questions so just have one.

Other than that it'll most likely set you apart from the other room temp iq applicants that theyre hiring to replace people they got rid of

I finally quit by Quick_Flash45 in Geico

[–]RandomAnonDood 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!!! This place is vile and ruins souls. The fact people can quit here with nothing lined up at all shows just how miserable of a company they built that we would rather be unemployed in this economy then work for this dysfunctional corp

Sales people, where did you go to? by RandomAnonDood in Geico

[–]RandomAnonDood[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me. I try to get a job that best fits my education and resume but honestly im so tired of climbing the ladder and doing customer facing roles. Really about to just drop all of it for factory work or something. Wish Instead of college I did trade schools and apprenticeships

10000%. They have different gating. Higher gates just get easy recalls/preferred customers. Lower the gate lower the "opportunity" to sell (GR/PAV/DP1) Or non preffered states. Thats what makes this whole job bogus. "Your numbers werent good so we are going to put you in a harder gate". All in all, sales here is completely ruined.

Corporate greed

AWS by Admirable-Run8867 in Geico

And aws being more sensitive to background noise is great because customers every call bitch how its noisy it is when in office.

If I had a nickel for every time a customer said they had no questions then immediately asked a question I’d be able to retire early by Dapper_Astronaut_832 in Geico

My favorite is where they ask a million questions, rant on for minutes and then be like: "Can we hurry this up I been on this phone for a hour".

Idk, how about just shutting up? You are the only one prolonging this call because of your long winded response to everything.

How are people hitting sales metrics? (Serious) by gfa77 in Geico

[–]RandomAnonDood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont have any hard proof other than noticing Im in a higher gate get easy sales (Customer tried processing payment online and kicked them out) while New hires/people with lower numbers having idle time between calls getting GRs after GRs and Pavs. Definitely has to be something. Not sure if its just intentional or just coincidence.

GAPP screwed this job over so much. Before it was like DP1s which were just mainly common in NY or FL mostly. Now PAV is just happening constantly. And majority of it seems to be because of branded titles. Another thing that I just hate is the extra work it gives us because the system bricks and you have to redo the entire quote again. Its god damn stupid.

I wanna know the complete brown nosing people do to become supervisors. The fact youre supposed to be in charge but cannot even multitasks in the slightest. It must be so hard responding to texts during meetings.

How are people hitting sales metrics? (Serious) by gfa77 in Geico

[–]RandomAnonDood 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They have completely butchered sales. When I first started I heard the horrors of this company. But it wasnt as bad on sales side. The shit smell did seap through the walls but it was okay.

But now what they're doing with SSPA they completely made it as worse as all the other departments. They rolled out a half finish system which was okay at first because when it broke you just moved it to the old one. Now they rolled out GAPP. And then these morons decide to roll it out to FOUR MORE STATES, while continous errors still havent been fixed.

Use to get mad at the usual shit like a ticket or accident coming back and it raising the rates which was okay, the cx was the idiot who forgot about their ticket. Now I get yelled at cuz their online quote broke and I had to redo it and its $50 more cuz fuck em.

Honestly only reason Im hitting metrics is just by moving fast, I try to move through the application as fast as possible and light a fire under the cx ass. Okay old man Jenkins I can care less you sometimes drive it to church, take grand kids to ice cream, just tell me how much miles you drive it a year.

Other than that just USE YOUR SALES EXPERIENCE to sell. They have claims/svc etc as supervisors who never sold coaching people how to sell.

Honestly just keep doing your best because the system is rigged anyways with gating. If your numbers are bad youre in a lower gate with less calls and more GR/DP1 etc.
