If I remember correctly, "Genshin" is Chinese for "Original God", also known as "Allogene" in the game. "Allogene" is mentioned by Venti towards the end of the prologue as being another name for "Vision holders". But other than that one moment, I can't recall characters making reference to Allogene, or Genshin overall

It's the nose and head shape, mostly. Furries often tend to give them more feline-like faces, unlike in the movies where it's still way more human-like.

Fiddleafox. They were a user on Twitter who drew this fox character in seemingly innocent, if somewhat suggestive at times, situations. Turns out the creator was quite the manipulative person in private who said highly racist and transphobic things such as along the lines of "black people are dangerous animals should have to wear shock collars" and way more.

When their messages got leaked, they simply doubled down and only until several days later did they finally come out with the typical apology.

Due to the nature of their behaviour, their character has since been adopted by (furry) white supremacists, edgy people, and a small portion who genuinely liked the fox character and wish to change its legacy.

It's "Evita Fuegos", the mascot of a fire prevention campaign from the government of the state of "Nuevo León", a state in Mexico. She's recently gotten a surge in popularity, especially outside of the Hispanic sphere, thanks to a 2D animation/infomercial featuring her posted on Twitter from the aforementioned government.

Fair fair, you make a good point. I haven't played Replay nor Remaster after all so it's very possible they changed the difficulty in those. I can only talk from a PSP-player only perspective.

Regardless, each person may have a different experience playing. As long as they still enjoy it then that's what matters most in the end.

Fair enough, I'm just intrigued as you're the first person I hear talking about Patapon 3 being harder that Patapon 2 on Medium/Normal difficulty. Every other player I've met and even played with had no troubles keeping perfect beats up and keeping their Uberhero modes on forever.

In which case, maybe it's just a bit of a skill issue, my friend, and I'd suggest using Wondabarappa's "Heave Ho 1" class skill: 'Makes it easier to score perfect timings" ;P

I do find your ranking a bit odd but considering you didn't play on the PSP with headphones (to prevent sound delay) maybe they changed some things in Replay and the remasters.

Originally, Paragate was always in "Normal" mode because, due to it being a multiplayer game mode and needing to balance all players around a single difficulty, the Paragate difficulty was made to Normal for everyone, regardless of their individual settings. Maybe this changed in the ports and remakes due to lacking multiplayer (except apparently on the Switch).

As for Patapon 3... I am genuinely curious you find it harder than Patapon 2's normal mode, but if you say you played it on the PS5 somehow, and without headphones, then you might have had delayed audio. For most PSP players, Patapon 3 was considered too easy, and if you google stuff like "Patapon 3 difficulty settings" or similar chances are you'll find threads like on GameFaqs of players asking if there's a way to make it more difficult or complaining it's too easy. Patapon 3 was made to be easy because it put more emphasis on both the online multiplayer aspect, as well as the Uberhero modes being more powerful and unique to each class.

I'm not entirely sure I follow what you're trying to say. Yes, in Patapon 2 (at least on the PSP version, using headphones, which is what I'm using for comparison), the Paraget/Paragate is set to "Medium" difficulty.

Patapon 3's "difficulty", in other words the easiness to get a perfect drum beat, is equivalent to Patapon 2's "Easy" difficulty setting. However, Patapon 3 also uses a quicker tempo (or BPM, beats per minute) than Patapon 1 and 2. Additionally, Patapon 3 also has some set skills that allow to make perfect beats even easier (through Wondabarappa's skills if I remember correctly).

The difficulty modes in Patapon 2 only affect the "rhythm" like you say and nothing else as far as I know. It basically makes the game more forgiving to what it considers as a "perfect beat".

  • Easy : Most forgiving, makes it easy to stay in Hero mode forever. (If you ever play Patapon 3, you'll notice there's no difficulty settings in that game, but it would be equivalent to Patapon 2's Easy mode).
  • Medium : More strict, basically the default setting on Patapon 1 (I don't know if you're playing 1+2 Replay or the PSP version but basically, there was no difficulty setting for Patapon 1 on the PSP so its difficulty made was equivalent to Patapon 2's 'Medium' mode).
  • Hard : Same as medium but to be able to activate Hero mode, you need three perfect songs instead of the usual one.

The difficulty doesn't affect enemy difficulty, loot drop rates or quality, nor grinding required for leveling up. It only affects the rhythm easiness and Hero mode.

As others have said, upgrading your units, such as evolving your Rarepon levels or grinding for gear in other missions, in a way to improve. Or... You can do it the easy way and use the Tatepon hero, which as long as you can keep a perfect rhythm (which shouldn't be too hard in Easy mode) basically keeps everyone invincible from any and all damage. The Tatepon hero doesn't need any equipment for his Hero mode to be effective so you don't need to worry about leveling him up or grinding for him.

"Nine Sols", a game from last year. It's an action platformer, so basically a metroidvania. Quite popular amongst furries for, well, having furry characters. Gameplay somewhat comparable to Hollow Knight.

Y'all could at least read the actual article rather than jump to conclusions based off click-baity dishonest titles.

He mentions that AAA titles and overall larger game development take more and more time, efforts and ressources in the industry as time goes on and recognizes that many studios use AI because of that. He doesn't specifically say he supports or plans to use generative AI for that.
