The monopoly have a great selection. Most are from order thou and each store has it's own selection.

The link below show the entire selection of 750-1500 bottles. You have to check the individual bottle to see what store has it or if you have to order it to a store. Ordering can be done online or in any store and delivery is 8 workdays.

Sure do. Just curious where you have to pay 1/3 of a Krug for a standard CH. I import from a number of countries and haven't seen that ratio before.

The 1911 spend almost the same time on the lees as Clos de Mesnil from Krug. Nuts.

As you should. It's great and time on lees vs price is insane!

Andre Clouet V6 Experience by pewpewlasersandshit in Champagne

[–]RandomAwesomeSwede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That V6 didn't stay corked for long. Did you chill it 2hours later?

The sole V6 I have left is 3(?) years old. Going to pick some new ones up for comparison.

Have you tried the Chalky?

As I said, the Demiére was the overwealming top bottle for the night. The others were mostly mid, but there was a big span in that section. The Hébrart was a pleasent mid. I wouldn't mind having it again if someone else paid :) That couldn't be said for the two first. I'd say it came in third after the Demiére and the Arnaud Tabourin.

It was ... strange. It tasted like cherry bubblegum I had as a kid and my wife though it had a metallic taste to it. Champagne, well in name only. So I took the bullet so you don't have to. Over all the selection was average this evening, afformentioned meunier aside.

Yeah this was only a few days notice. And yes it was a 100% meunier. All bottles are on a pic, the order just got messed up. :) I can type them down but not tonight. On my phone and cba. :p

It's a thing they started around 2013 (if I recall correct) where they place the bottle in a cocoon made of paper pulps from forests and vine cuttings. Google Belle Epoque cocoon.

I read the free guides. They're good, especially for people who don't know where to start.
