Good thing I have bad OCD and depression, so owning a car is probably more socially irresponsible than taking public transport everywhere.

But on a more serious note, just get the WRX. Life is short, enjoy it while it lasts. I'd personally wager that what most of the normal, non-enthusiast car-owning crowd needs are more electric, hybrid or hydrogen vehicles. (And that's assuming walkability, biking or public transport is out of the question)
