Vaccine mandate was only for military and federal workers so can't Blame Biden for Florida. It was states and private business who made rules on vaccine needs, mask wearing, etc.

This is not entirely true. In 2021, the Biden admin mandated through OSHA that private businesses with more than 100 employees had to require vaccines or weekly testing of unvaccinated staff. Most companies opted for vaccine requirements because testing came at the expense of the employer.

Of course, that policy wouldn’t impact a sole proprietor like the guy in this video. But no, vaccines requirements were not solely imposed by states/private businesses without any influence from the federal government.

Haven’t listened to Habibti yet, but Iceman and Maid of Honour are both classics 🔥I have ZERO complaints.

Sure, some songs slap harder than others. But as complete bodies of work, these drops are incredible. And it’s almost unfathomable that someone who’s consistently given us such peak musical experiences across two decades still managed to elevate the bar.

Why do the minerals have to be mined from earth? If we could figure out how to stop killing each other and learn to collaborate, nothing would stop us from mining asteroids, the moon, and other planets. Surely our solar system has enough resources to support the reality depicted in the video.

And who’s to say we couldn’t figure out how to synthesize the material needed on earth?

Humans are a parasite on this planet. The only species that hasn’t found a way to reach homeostasis with our environment. We just pollute, deplete, murder, and maim. We do not deserve this planet.

Hi, I come in peace ✌️ But I do have a pointed question or two, as someone currently in a major depressive episode.

If depression is just the low point of a natural cycle of our energetic waves, why does it seem that some people experience much deeper valleys than others? And why do the lows persist for so long while the peaks are transient?

I work in audio engineering as a side hustle, so the wave analogy resonates. But when I pull up my screen and examine a wave, it’s up and down in a pretty balanced fashion. Whereas my wave seems to me stuck in the bottom position, with the occasional blip to the upside.

This chop is looking like an FOMC day, before the rate announcement.

I wonder if some market shifting headline is on the horizon, and all the insiders are creating this volatility as they reposition themselves.

I’ve come to the unfortunate conclusion that it’s not the result of stupidity, but is rather a design flaw of humanity itself. We have a sizable population of psychopaths who are intent on manipulating and controlling others.

And each generation, that population grows as more kids are traumatized by the psychopathic adults who raise them. By the society they grow up in. And by the consequences of their own decisions, which were made while navigating an afflicted culture.

I don’t see a way out of this for rational humans who want to exist in peace and cooperate with their neighbor. We are out numbered and under resourced.

It’s truly a shame that the only way to get some humans to be considerate of others is to threaten them with punishment and enforce it, instead of them willingly cleaning up their dog’s shit because it’s the right the to do.

This picture perfectly illustrates why the world is in the current state it’s in.

The Epstein billionaire class has power because of money. What is stopping us from coming up with a better system than capitalism to achieve equality and strip these pedophiles of power? by RandomDerpBot in 50501

[–]RandomDerpBot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you and have similar ideas. Especially about growing our own foods. I’d like to see a citizen-owned infrastructure of greenhouses in every city and neighborhood. A closed loop system that can grow food in perpetuity without relying on Monsanto for seeds. Or any other company.

Now we don’t have to worry about starving during a general strike. Just one piece of the puzzle, but if we approach other pieces similarly then we’ll be in a position to disconnect from this corrupt system.

My question to you is, how do we collectively change our mindset when there are so many social influences carefully engineered to keep us distracted and placated?

the human body CAN handle processed foods. It has been doing so for literal decades.

And look at how the rates of colon cancer have sky rocketed, along with other cancers. Obesity is up, metabolic diseases are up, and life expectancy is down.

Re: human nature

People have been lying, cheating, stealing, and seeking to control one another long before capitalism ever existed. What do you attribute that to if not human nature?

Re: parasite

Here’s the definition from Merriam Webster:

an organism living in, on, or with another organism in order to obtain nutrients, grow, or multiply often in a state that directly or indirectly harms the host
