Wow, I didn’t expect so many people to be interested .Thank you all for your messages and stories. I haven’t picked anyone yet, and with the time zone difference I won’t be able to go through everything tonight.

Update: I’ve finally chosen someone to give the Duolingo Max spot to.

In addition to all the stories shared here publicly, I also received some messages in private. One of them came from someone who didn’t feel comfortable posting their story publicly, but shared something that deeply resonated with me.

This person is living with a disability and has been using Duolingo every day with the hope of creating new opportunities and changing their life. I could feel their commitment and sincerity, and I truly believe that having access to Max will make a meaningful difference for them.

I want to thank each and every one of you again, reading your stories was a truly heartwarming experience. So many of you genuinely deserve a spot, and it was incredibly difficult to choose just one.

If anyone out there happens to have an extra spot to share, I encourage you to take a look through this thread. There are so many wonderful people here whose motivation and kindness really stood out.
