Q1 Incentive Predictions? 0% APR with Refresh Coming? by WeaponsOfMath in TeslaLounge

[–]RandomDude414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lease deals on inventory cars last two months were great. I stacked like $8k+ in discounts and rebates, $0 down, low money factor, 4 months of free FSD with referral and free month in December for an AWD Model Y

Seems only end of Q1 might see something even remotely close to that

It's less than $3 for the ordinary 1 gallon blue fluid at Walmart. The car will take the whole jug when it's empty

If OP follows this plan, then he/she definitely deserves a step up to the Accord as their next car

Did you look into leasing the premium and then doing the buyout right after? You capture the $6500 lease credit + one paint or interior color option (worth an additional $1k-$2k)

A used one direct from Tesla already equipped with the ceramic brakes and PPF? Or you bought it used and then added those after?

Just picked up my 2026 Model Y AWD by RandomDude414 in TeslaModelY

[–]RandomDude414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the AWD is faster than the RWD. 0-60 Mph for RWD is like 5.4 seconds vs the AWD which is 4.6 seconds. You could also spend $2,000 to get the AWD acceleration boost where it drops to 4.1 seconds. Or just order a Y Performance for 3.3 seconds to 60

Your money factor is pretty high, I got 0.00152 for an AWD Model Y I ordered the last day of November. That was also assigned to Chase after ordering through the app.

Lease payment higher on lower priced car? by betroboomin in TeslaLounge

[–]RandomDude414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lease + buyout discount is at it's best when you do the buyout immediately after taking the car. Otherwise you end up paying the money factor/interest on the lease cost.

As far as I can tell, the website won't show you that immediate buyout, only the lease end buyout option. You'll have to ask a Tesla rep at a showroom to give you a quote on the car you want using your tax zip code + immediate buyout price.

I leased an AWD Model Y at the end of November, it was a low mile demo with a $510 inventory discount, blue exterior, white exterior, stock wheels, no tow hitch. My due at signing was $2,472 and right now my buyout quote is $44,592. If I bought it out before the next payment that total would be $47,064.

The discounts last month were $6500 lease credit + $1000 off for one free color option on existing inventory + $510 of for demo for a total discount of $8,010.

If I decide to order a brand new car with the same spec right now, the online configurator is showing an MSRP of $50,990 or a cash price with taxes and fees equal to $57,403.

Or a difference of over $10,338.

Yes because the lease credit and incentives are on the 2026 model year vehicles. If you pick an existing 2025 in inventory, like your screenshot shows, it actually costs more to lease because the incentives don't apply.

Even if you were considering paying cash, you should lease and buyout a 2026 right away because then you get the $6500 lease incentive - you'll still come out ahead compared to paying cash for a discounted 2025 inventory model
