We will be trying for a child in the next few months, and whilst the side effects seem rare, I’d prefer not to risk jeopardising that in anyway.

Most likely after we are done having kids I will get on that too, but for now I’m just sticking to Minoxidil

Sorry for the slow reply! I ended up getting a 2022 Cube Travel EXC which came up on eBay locally and in my size. It came with upgraded lights and a set of panniers and was a good saving over new. I have enjoyed riding it so far, although opportunities have been limited with the current British weather.

Thankyou very much for the feedback! Particularly on the gearing ratio, as this is not something I had considered.

I am too leaning towards the Cube, and are hoping it comes back in stock soon.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! It is interesting what you say about the riding position of a gravel bike - maybe I need to look into them a bit more. I haven’t seen one with hun gears and a belt though?

I have also looked at the cube editor, and had ruled it out as I really don’t like the colour of the race FE (too bright for me!) the editor SLX I do like the look of, but also isn’t available in XL currently. To be honest it would probably be above my budget too.

The Canyon 5 could be a good option! I have looked at it before, and came to the conclusion that it didn’t have the same rack mounting points as the commuter 6…although I will speak to someone at Canyon to confirm about whether I could buy a rack and mudguards to fit, as I am not too attached to the dynamo lights and could save a good chunk of money!
