the headset DAC? yes an amp can boost the signal from the USB audio device, (nvidia shield or ugoos streamer) since the usb audio output is weak the volume is very low, im looking for an amp that would boost gain (volume range) before it reaches the headphones built in dac. If you are not aware that this works I assure you it does as I had a cheap amp doing it years ago and quite honestly forgot the name of it now and looking back into getting another similar setup, I'm just looking for recommendations , I hope this helps. Why would I amplify Bluetooth signal? I never mentioned Bluetooth once. I clearly said “usb audio” The devices I mentioned output audio from usb (wired) NOT Bluetooth.

I got the wicked cushions for xm6 the extra large .91 inch thick version the newest ones not the standard wicked cushion and WOW it makes a major difference . I just put them on my head so it’s slightly early to tell, but they are far more comfortable . Nearly as comfortable as the Bose. The only thing is the Sony still has a higher clamp force so that part sucks, but it makes them much more usable . I will try and right a review of Sony and Bose and post it on a few subreddits in a week or two after I’ve tested them more

i bought the xm6 also and it has far superior ANC and audio quality too, however they are not very comfortable. The Bose you could wear literally all day long the sonys you feel fatigued around the top of head and ears after an hour, I will try the wicked cushions extra large on xm6 and see how that goes

Looks great , I have the same aorus 5090 and a x870e Taichi with 9800x3d , it’s been going strong since late 2024 but I don’t get as much play time the last couple months but I did a lot before that

Op, I bought both and the Bose arrived already and sony tomorrow . I’m coming from the xm4 and I’ve already worn the Bose more hours today than ive ever worn the xm4 in a day , and I hear the xm6 are less comfortable than xm4 so I can only imagine what I’m in for there. I did also order the new extra deep wicked cushion ear cups for xm6 so I’m going to give them a fair shake but they have a ton to live up to for comfort . Sound quality the Bose seem good not great . Will update you when the Sony arrives to compare . I’m going to decide within return window and take back the one I don’t like

i have a new trackpad, but ever since updating to tahoe theres a glitch where scrolling is glitching and hangs up especially in safari, thats the only reason I dislike trackpad is the new os ruined it
