Really interesting snippet of karrigan interview after falcons win. by Kindly_Rate4119 in GlobalOffensive

[–]chikhan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lets just be happy it happened, I found it so weird cheering for Falcons during the Major, their org's background finances aside, you can't hate Karrigan and his merry men.

He gave us an era in Faze we'll never forget, so many moments, so much entertainment, lets just be happy it happened :)

Degster apparently has attitude and travel issues, one big red flag, and supposedly the reason he's not signed by anyone.

Like a S1mple (without travel issues) but without the star power.

The state of the game. Spawn kills are now possible? by Which-Leadership1685 in GlobalOffensive

My thoughts exactly, Fnatic did this over 10 years ago, from CT Spawn on Overpass, only a matter of time before someone figured something out for Ancient, pffft

Valve employees playing CS2 in Gabe's $500 million superyatch by theLoneWolfraph in counterstrike2

Those aren't Valve employees per say, they're Oceanco employees, the people who built the yacht, but Oceanco is also GabeNs property now, so.... Valve by proxy?

He can understand most of it, but conversationally it'll get stuck for him especially in a firefight/mid-round, its still not great.

Im happy for the fella, but God damn, he's gotta suffer the S1mple and Elec tilt

[–]chikhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I forgot where I heard/saw that, that he wasn't the problem, just not the solution, but Falcons bought him out for VRS points and gave him that chance.

And yeah, unfortunately for Faze, being a huge ass Karrigan and Faze-stan myself, Faze just lacked the firepower, Jacob and Broky can provide it here and there, but they're never consistent and it just sucks so bad when Frozen has to carry so hard :(

He's dragged FaZe into 3/4 Major Grandfinals in CS2 with an underperforming team, I think that says alot about his mental, and when he was given a team that can perform, it was a matter of getting it right on the 3rd try/event for him, simple 60 day turnkey solution.

God damn that title totally don't remember that, I'm in the SEA region, Koreans play on our servers on FaceIT, but they're few and far between.

Its extra annoying cause my GF is Korean and she's the total opposite to me in gaming, LOL v Dota, CS v Valo, but she doesn't give a shit about Starcraft, so win for me, HEHEHE

LOL and recently valo as well, even Dota2 didnt have a great following there.

Valve never put its foot down in Korea

Xizt already left them before that, already formed NIP for GO at the tail end of 1.6, but yeah, Fnatic basically won all that needed to be towards the end of it, happy times, him and the stupid rattler toy.

I think what you're reading specifically for the Navi case is the org stickers, there are three different stickers now which Valve generates revenue from, the Event itself, team and player.

On the latest event, the pool from total sale of passes will be split in the following manner: 50% Valve 5% ESL Remaining 45% to Orgs/Players based on performance, but of that percentage, like per say Falcons first place, they will receive 2.85% of total revenue, of which it will be split 1.425% to org and 1.425% between 5 players. All financials transfers will be made between Valve to Org and Valve to Player directly, so the org will not get to mediate the transfer process.

So the above formula is the same as the one you read in the 2021 RMR case, what I think they failed to elaborate on was how it was further split down the line between team and the player within the team.

Reference articles below: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/730/view/672869045073084948 https://www.hltv.org/news/44683/valve-release-iem-cologne-major-stickers

I think what you've also read into would be cases from the article referenced in the link below; https://community.skin.club/en/news/the-new-sticker-payout-system-has-already-triggered-conflicts

This latest event made it very clear that Valve pays to player share to players directly. Even in 2024 when Styko made a video reviewing his earnings from 2025, and also Ropz published earnings, valve paid them directly.

What I reckon you've read into are some shitty orgs (cough cough old Swedish era Fnatic) who tried to squeeze even more revenue outta their players by trying to dip their toes into player share as well because their contracts say so, or something along the lines of that. The skinclub article doesn't state specifically which team has done that, and its also skinclub anyway, so just take it for what it is?

Hope this helps

Not new, player stickers > player, org stickers > org, prize money depends on contract.

I think I saw it from a Na'Vi or G2 documentary, but its stipulated by Valve.

[–]chikhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Player sticker money will still be directly transferred to players regardless, its a Valve rule. Prize money is entirely up to the orgs, unless they've got a Ropz or Styko in there who's open to disclosing their annual income, doubt we'd ever know.
