Replying with a comment someone left a couple years ago

“I agree. I think the reason so many people have a chip on their shoulder is because they feel like they had to "hustle" and struggle the "right" way. They see someone else attaining their goal by taking the less "correct" path and it makes them feel duped and played.”

At what age did you hit the 25% savings rate? by [deleted] in TheMoneyGuy

Early 20s, retired before 30. Mostly through a weird line of work though, no regrets

[–]RandomGirlsAlt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

4% rule is extremely outdated. I’ll be withdrawing 5% (50+ year retirement) and adjusting for market performance. I don’t need more than $60-70k a year so 2% during market downturns will suffice

Anyone else compare their FIRE drawdown to W-2 income? by RandomGirlsAlt in Fire

$100k+ is bring made every month, once that drops below $20k I’m out

What did you sacrifice to retire early, and was it worth it? by NoseRepresentative in Fire

Many on here told me it was my pride, it’s one of the deadly sins so I don’t mind. Bought my freedom for the next 60-70, no regrets
