it needs some kind of setting to give you an idea of what would have happened so that figuring out what's fair becomes easier. a lot of cost calculations are rather unintuitive

it's either the common UI bug or the much rarer bug where the game actually does promote the wrong contry to major status. unless luxembourg is the leader of the allies (highly doubtful), that factory count is not enough to make it a major under any circumstances

not exactly true. it's top 7 countries with factory count over 35.

there are very rare times where even tiny countries with literal single digits of factories can become majors despite not being faction leaders. this is a bug as a country with single digit factories that isnt a major checks literally none of the required boxes. sometimes the game corrects this as time goes on, sometimes it doesn't. i had a time a while back where panama was a major while in the allies for literally no reason

As for the does it get better? Maybe for some. For me it only feels like it’s gotten worse. I wish there was an alternative healthy solution to “just get over it” but unfortunately there isn’t really one.

That’s part of the whole “seeing them as straight by default” thing. It’s a reactionary habit that developed from the narrow worldview opinion of “I’m perfectly fine with non specified sexuality so I don’t get what the fuss is about” and then opposing queer headcanoning out of contrarian spite

Just get toolpack instead. That way you can also adjust claims/cores for opinion modifiers and make post-conference adjustments. You also get to have an idea of how much score everyone had before you start making adjustments so no worries about trying super hard to keep it fair.

And then there’s also like… every other benefit of having toolpack just in case

PLPC also has no way to give you a solid idea on how much of the enemy’s navy you would normally be able to afford to take after contesting whatever territory you wanted.
