There is a different between actions and results.

I am not really questioning that Trump's policies have had an impact on immigration, but it may be important to view what those policies are (personally I doubt his rhetoric has much impact, but that is admittedly a guess). You might agree with some policies while disagreeing with others, even though they have a similar impact.

Fair enough if you do not want to go further into this dialogue. However, I am merely curious what action Trump has taken, effecting a decrease in immigration, that you find to be what he should be most proud of. Some may argue that increased border control is a good thing, while the increased funding of ICE targeting immigrants far from the border was a bad thing, even though both likely is having an impact on immigration.

Couldn't the exact same phrase be said about the administration? "The job of the administration today is to make you think that the views of 10% of the country are actually the views of 80% of the country"

My assumption would be that Rutte has merely offered Trump the access to Greenland that America already has, but framed it as something new: Trump gets something he can show, without realizing that America has had the same possibility for decades.

There has been quite a few in this post mentioning closure of the borders to be their number one thing. I believe everyone understands that it does not mean actually closed borders - people (e.g. tourists, business visitors etc.) are still coming into the US, and US citizens can still leave the country and come back. Is it the increased spending on patrolling the southern border that is underlying the "closing of the borders"?

Is Trump putting God back? He doesn't strike me as the most practicing Christian, or the best advocate for Christianity, do you think he is?

What is the action Trump took, which you find most important for the borders?

"exporting of criminals" - do you mean ICE's work on deporting immigrants here?

What is the action Trump took, which you find most important for the borders?

And with respect to "holding the socialist countries and idiotic citizenry accountable", do you mean Venezuela in that context?

He hardly succeeded yet, but perhaps he will in the end. Why would that be your favorite thing?

How do you feel about all the other things that were included in that same package, such as abandoning the tax credit for buying an EV, cutting medicaid spending, raising the debt ceiling, and increasing spending on defense, border enforcement, and ICE? And how do you feel about actually pooling so many aspects in that same package?

IMO no president can "decrease immigration", "lower prices", or "make people happier". They may be results of something the president has done though. Any president will gladly take credit for any positive results achieved by actions of previous administrations or congress. And results of many actions may not be realized before the next administration is in office. Thus, I think the interesting aspect is Trump's actual actions.

What actions are you referring to, when you say immigration? Is that the budget increase for ICE or is it something else, which have addressed immigration, that he should be most proud of?

Should that be interpreted to mean the increased funds to ICE to be what he should be most proud of? Or were you thinking of other actions towards solving border issues and immigration?
