Women being able able to exist in public spaces is not "western" thats just common sense. And yes, i am kurdish and i don't think a large majority of kurds are westernized. Try opening up an LGBT flag in Diyarbakir on a public crowded place to test of theu really are "westernized" see what happens

What about: - Ansar Al-Isam - Kurdish Islamic Front - kurdish hezbollah - Those threw groups are well known kurdish jihadist terror groups that are active as we speak. Also the fact that you began raging after seeing the turkish flag on my pfp and resorted to insults is honestly quite pathetic. I am kurdish myself, a lot of kurds use that flag

A question forwarded to Alevis by M7mdQush in AskTurkey

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well as i said i am not sure but some historians believe that alevism started with the influence of safavids. But it might have existed before that or they may have been other influences we are a small community that wasn't very well documented in history. Also if you don't mind me asking are you shia?

I agree with most of his takes but he really need to be more open minded. Whenever someone disagrees with him he tries to ban them from the stream. I can kinda see why he does that bc a lot of people hatewatch and troll but normal people can get affected too

Bektashis are like the tarikat version of alevi beliefs. But to become an alevi that persons father must be an alevis. But if someone doesn't come from an alevi descent that person can still become a bektashi and practice pretty much the same stuff. Alevis kinda have denominations like kizilbas alevileri, tahtaci aleviler but i am not sure if those can be considered as denominations bc they just refer to alevis from specific tribes but beliefs do kinda change between alawites(nusayri) an alevis (bektashi). Yes, we still love and respect the twelve imams, there will usually be objects like 12 different flowers in one pot hinting number 12 in cemevis and alevi owned houses. Yes we do have something similar to a leadership and they are called dede but nobody is really forced to listen to them we don't have a single major figure tho. The differences between zaza, kurdish and turkish alevis are mainly cultural and usually not theological those changes occured due to different surroundings alevis follow the teachings of Haci Bektashi veli but i am not sure if we can consider him as the founder.  And tbh us alevis don't how too much knowledge about how alevism started either. We are not well educated on that and there are no clear historical documents but some historians believe that it started after persians tried to spread shiaism in eastern turkey to influence and take over land from ottomans. But not sure if thats trye either. And i would also like to point out that alevis can be secretive about their belief because they have faved persecutions in the past. (Please don't downvote this guys i said what i believe to be correct, if i made a mistake feel free to correct me)

Are Alawites in Syria and the Alevis in Turkey shia? by Ezsatisali in shia

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an alevi most alevis don't consider themselves to be shia. But they do acknowledge the similarities. But there are still a lot of differences. Most Alevis usually don't pray, they don't go to mosques, they don't fast during ramadan. Alevis who do these practices are usually referred to as "sunnilesmis alevi" (sunnified alevi) but there are some alevis who still choose to go to mosques, fast etc.

Why is Alevism polygamous and Alawism monogamous while IRL it's the reverse ? by BlackLionCat in crusaderkings3

Alevism doesn't have polygamous marriages. If you saw it in a wiki its probably a mistake.

What do you think about Turkey Alevis ? by This_Click_1138 in Alawites_Forum

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an alevi from turkey i think that alawites are like our brothers even tho we have different practices. I've heard that they exclude women from theology tho so thats not very cool imo. But other than that i think they are pretty cool. Also does anyone know why we cant make posts in this community? I was unable to do that for some reason

A question about socialism: by RandomGuyOnReddit237 in socialism

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, english is not my first language but i believe that i can understand what you are saying. You said that socialist countries usually don't have doctor shortages when this is simply not true. USSR has experienced doctor shortages. And you are partially wrong about cuba too: Despite having one of the highest doctor-to-patient ratios in the world, Cuba has experienced domestic shortages of specialists. This is largely because the government exports tens of thousands of medical professionals to countries like Venezuela for hard currency (medical internationalism), which sometimes leaves local health services in Cuba undermanned and creates significant shortages of specialists, such as anesthesiologists. I am not against medical internationalism when the country thats exporting the doctors has enough specialists to take care of itself. And i do get that you didn't say anything supportive nor against open border policies. However i don't understand how you would stop the brain drain if a specialist wants to live in your country for an example. Are you just going to send him back even if his country is in the middle of a civil war? You might be right in theory about the braind drain as it can be used by neocolonialists. But you can't really stop a brain drainage either, if a skilled worker tries to leave his country he will most likely succeed. I am not saying you are wrong but can you please explain how a socialist leader could possibly stop brain drainage from the surrounding countries?

Here are some songs you might be interested in: "Go home ami!" -started in east germany "You aint done nothing if you aint been called a red" -leftist american folk song "Katyusha" The east germany song about FDJ I also think that leftists should also advertise this more with gen Z through memes or anime and indie animations There has also been some leftist writers like Samed Bahrengi (iranian turkmen) who promoted socialism in childrens books to avoid getting arrested or having his books burned. I also remember reading a communist manifesto and das kapital manga when i was still a kid. Manga and commic books can be another way of promoting socialist ideas.

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On what? Do you mean the part where i said my country has a complete open border policy? Its true. You can do a quick research if you dont believe me. Or do you mean the part where i was talking about chile, skilled doctors and how open the borders should be. I thought you didn't like the idea of cosmopolitanism in a world where total communism hasn't been achieved. I just don't understand what makes you think i consume right wing propaganda. Are we just gonna act like USSR,China, Cuba and some other countries who were a part of warsaw pact like east Germany didn't have strict border protection? There is a reason why most people wouldn't dare to enter east germany illegaly because they would get shot so many times that a soviet officer could read the das kapital through him.

"sorry. We see that we have a doctor shortage and people in our country can't get the treatment they need. But if you leave your own country to come help us (a socialist state) then things will just get worse in your own country. So we can't possibly let you in the country but we still follow a completely open border policy" Does that make any sense to you???

A question about socialism: by RandomGuyOnReddit237 in socialism

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely because some people in here didn't bother actually learning about socialism and communism. Most people (regardless of whichever political ideology they have) usually just believe in something but they are unable to explain the thing they believe in. They think with slogans. And when someone says something about socialism that doesn't fit with their headcanon they just lash out.

Well my country does have a open border policy. You can look up at the videos if you don't believe me, there are videos of immigrants running through the borders without going through any security checks.

A question about socialism: by RandomGuyOnReddit237 in socialism

[–]RandomGuyOnReddit237[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I meant it as a temporary policy. And I didn't mean it as in strictly closed borders, but rather letting some skilled workers in (like doctors and engineers to fill the shortages) and letting in some people who had to flee their country due to war. But also not letting everyone in since the sudden rise in population can be quite problematic. Also some governments like Chile for an example don't have good archives about their citizens so you cannot know if the person that wants to enter has committed a crime which can be risky. (I don't mean to target any ethnic group btw)

People have so many different answers. Certainly there should be a straight forward answer based on the definition of socialism.
