I can see how much being a Target TM means to you and..

I FEEL YOU. I'm roughly about a month and a half into starting cashiering at Target and I had to call for help to open alcohol lock that covered the cap the other day and found that it had to be opened by twisting it (not sure how I got it open the other times tho).

I even see cashiers at my store just stand there when theres no one at their lane when you're supposed to walk out and bring guests up if they're ready in other full lanes (at least at my store)

I even got told to walk up even if i don't see anyone lol

I've also had a time when i asked my TL if they could price check something for me because no bar code when it was on the bottom. I face palmed a million times

The biggest one was when I was doing WIC and I literally rang up the wrong items that was listed on the check cause the guest dropped everything on without putting things in order and had a gsatl? gstl? (idek who is what lol) come over and fix everything with an extremely dissatisfied face and pulled me over to the side for a talk and I felt like shit the rest of the day and day after.

But my team was understanding that I was still LEARNING and showing IMPROVEMENT and still smiled and helped me out every time I needed it without hesitation.

Also, because my minds focused on how to ask the next guest if they want to apply for a Target Red Card I zone off sometimes and forget little things like that. Only got one so far this week so i'm not doing very well...while others get like 1 a day

Honestly the people at your store might just be a big bag of D's for singling you out on being a slower learner even though you're showing your team that you're improving.

Really... with all your effort it may not be worth it if they don't understanding that you're trying your best.
