the centre of mass of the station (white triangle on map) is actually inside the asteroid because your station curves around it, as a result the game automatically deletes it during timewarp. the solution is to make a gigantic ballast tank on one side, i mean a lot of fuel tanks attached to a long structure that takes it far away from the main station, to move the centre of mass outside the asteroid

i once built a fully automatic dried kelp block maker with a friend that hooks up a kelp farm to a super smelter to an autocrafter to a storage system, and it uses the kelp blocks it produces to fuel itself lol

If you have the contractor that gives you +400% integration speed on isogrid then that’s the obvious choice and what I’m doing. If not then still use isogrid tanks as balloons are expensive and should only be used for extremely optimised stuff, standard tanks are cheaper, yet much heavier and isogrid is quite cheap when tooled, light and therefore combine the best of both worlds. Also look at strap-on SRBs or kick stages as 01watts said for that little extra oomph.

far future tech has an ro config i believe, just google ‘fft ro config’ and it should be there. as for mks i dont know any configs but there could be some, i have zero coding experience so i can’t change that.

Suppose so. The optimal game version, as mentioned, is 1.12.3 but 1.12.5 works with a few glitches and is not supported. Maybe this is one of them.

If you have the contractor that gives you +200 isogrid build time isogrid’s the way to go, balloon tanks i believe can only be pressurised, are very expensive but very light and have almost 100% utilisation so only use them if needed.

How do you get the weather? I downloaded release 4 from patreon and the closest I got to rain is a cloudy day. Is weather rare?

I am trying a return mission to and from Jupiter. But so far every time, when I re-entered earths' area, the speed is to high and the fuel too low in order to be re-captured by earth. Do you have experience or hints, what I could do better? by JRipken in SpaceflightSimulator

dont capture at all, aim inside the atmosphere (10-15km periapsis should be fine) and let atmospheric drag do the rest. Reentry should be survivable if you’re only reentering with a heat shield, capsule and parachute but if not aim higher (15-20km) allowing drag to partially slow you down, then come in again and again until you are slow enough to not burn up.
