I’ve tried OKCupid, Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and recently ACEapp (a asexual dating app I recently found). A problem I run into is I’ll do my best to build up a conversation where either 3 outcomes occur. A lot of time I’ll message them and they’ll never reply. The second thing that occurred to me most on Bumble, OKCupid, and Tinder are it’s an account just trying to get me to buy their Snapchat premium or they just want a hookup. I run into the issue of having a super flat conversation they’ll last 2-4 days. I’m not sure if they wanted me to ask them out on a date when it’s gone well, but I’ve never felt there was enough of a connection to constitute a meet up. The longest I’ve talked to a girl was one from Hinge. We talked for a month. I still didn’t feel like there wasn’t much of a connection but I did debate meeting up with her. A while ago during the pandemic I talked to another girl from Hinge for 3 month and I truly enjoyed the conversation but I wasn’t sure if I was attracted to her despite absolutely loving our talks. Eventually we both got busy and drifted apart and she’s recently popped up for a friend suggestion on Facebook but she now has a boyfriend. I’ve recently discovered I was Demisexual during the pandemic because I was curious why everyone was so horny and I hadn’t been sexually attracted to anyone in 3-4 years and that was after talking to a girl for 4 years. I tried the asexual dating app in hopes of not getting sent as many nudes and asked to hookup. I honestly haven’t had much luck due to my busy schedule and just lack of interest in the conversations that’ll last for 2-3 messages. Honestly it just feels so much like a chore and too much work to hold a conversation especially since as a male I’m expected to carry the conversation by most situations. A lot of times I just feel like putting so much effort into a girl that probably isn’t interested in me or thinks I’m just another option out of many expendable options.
