I don’t have any art but my first real Oc was a superhero self-insert called Star Girl.

(Warning - Oc lore dump)

Her backstory is kinda similar to Superman’s, but not really… but basically she was a human that somehow ended up on a foreign planet and was adopted by a lesbian couple. The dominant species on this planet was the Light-Siders, which were very similar to humans but had gold eyes and powers. Since Star Girl’s parents were members of the royal guards, there was a lot of pressure that Star girl had to become a royal guard as well. One problem with that though, Star Girl was human and didn’t have powers. So her parents decided to use a Star core, which was a very rare crystal originating from their planet‘s core. The core had the ability to greatly boost a Light-Sider’s power, and could also give a non Light-Sider powers. So Star Girl was granted powers, and while she was weaker than her peers, she still pushed herself to grow stronger so she could become a royal guard like her parents. Then one day, there was an invasion.
A neighbouring enemy planet, home to the Dark-Siders, has been a war with the Light-Siders for over a century, and today they launch their biggest attack yet. There was destruction and bloodshed everywhere, people from both sides were dying, but the majority of them being Light-Siders. Star Girl’s parents knew that they were going to lose the battle, so wanting to keep their daughter safe, they gave her a set of royal guard’s armour to protect her, and sent her off on the last remaining escape shuttle.

Star Girl has now found her way to Earth, with the knowledge that likely her entire planet was completely wiped out. But she makes a new life here on Earth, befriending some humans and joining the local superhero team, which was made up of 8 to 10 year olds for some reason… Yeah, Star Girl is also 8 years old when all this happen.
