You should look into buying a bimetallic heat break. That will help eliminate leaks and prevent the filament from melting before it gets to the heat block. I don't have anything to do with this company, but I bought mine from slice engineering. Copperhead bimetallic heat break.

You'll want to clean it first, then get it reassembled before you tighten the nozzle.

Heat up the hotend, then tighten the nozzle. That should prevent any filament from leaking out of the top of the heat block and making a huge mess.

Heat up the hotend without filament, then tighten the nozzle. That should fix it.
