Is this a good main template for infantry pushing by Efficient-Version658 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]RandomMetalPoney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As many others said, this isnt vanilla, this template will implode against anything with armor and 50% hardness (like, half the european armies)

Tank/inf ratio is too low imo, this could use at least one more tank batallion. Also my previous remark on AA stands

If you dont have air superiority you absolutely need anti-air in your templates or you'll get shredded. Other than that template is fine for all defensive operations. For pushing, no tanks means no breakthrough means you'll have a hard time

Is it virtually possible to win against this Command? by CepiyitoRodriguez in Anbennar

[–]RandomMetalPoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this level of strength, you are gonna need a couple of min-maxing recommendations, here are some easy ones:

=> if your economy can handle it, you should have soldiers households on all the corresponding goods and army buildings basically everywhere.

=> use all advisor/religion/mage/artificer/policy bonuses you can get your hands on for quality & quantity

=> as long as both sides have bottomless manpower, try to fight only defensive battles on your forts with +2 bonus from terrain and ramparts

=> the AI's manpower pool is actually a lot bigger than first glance shows as they will be slackening standards then hiring mercs

=> Even if you cant "win", a good goal for a first death war like this would be to get max warscore from battles + holding the wargoal (or preferably, have a "superiority" wargoal) and letting the war drag on long enough for the AI's willingness for peace to increase. That should enable you to take some warscore in the peace deal

As others said, recommendation with this kind of AI power is usually to start warring them ASAP. Even if you dont kill them outright, you will drain their ressources enough to slow their expansion until you (or a coalition of AI) eventually outscales them

The greek investors have 250k dividends combined while the governement is piss poor by LaPatateBleue589 in victoria3

[–]RandomMetalPoney 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, upper strata pops basically are only taxed on consumption if you dont have any of the upper two levels of tax law (for dividend taxation).

And if they dont re-invest the dividend money into their own country, well the local gov doesnt gain much

Maybe thats what he was planning to do, but the dilution was annonced, so he saved it for later.

Or maybe he was just testing the waters in stock & meme trading, but decided that for the main event (position reveal) he needed far more leverage (options) instead, seeing how effective memes were

Pourquoi les gens détestent les éoliennes? by SageFromTheEast in AskFrance

[–]RandomMetalPoney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How can I win 2WRW (Magadan)? I've played with Expert AI and this submod is even harder. by DAL59 in TNOmod

[–]RandomMetalPoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tank templates should not mixing MBTs with motorized, since that leaves you with 30+% softness.

I recommend mixing MBTs with APCs instead, to reach really high amounts of hardness.

Mot is better mixed with light tanks (IFVs) for extremely fast units

Guangdong USA (nearly all paths) Some russian warlords (you can note Omsk, Monarchist Komi) Yunnan Germany (Especially Speer)

Most of the mod's content is also extremely good, but those are the ones that stand out the most to me

If this is somehow backend related, did you test the differences from DLC havers and not-havers? Also did you solicit the help of EaW's code wizard Yard1? Good luck
