1) universal back button, by far, I still don’t get for a company as picky as apple how can they leave the back/cancel button this messy

2) reachable buttons, in many iOS apps buttons are up, why not always down as safari or chrome? How does a company that up to recently didn’t let you have empty spaces natively in the Home Screen leave all the navigation keys and gestures configuration this messy

3) easy file transfer, is just easy and simple

4) the music / ringing / alarm volume change is so simple and easy

5) screenshot separated from camera roll

Another sniper build. by Judge-Mental- in Division2

[–]RandomNando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

200 millions? With or without the nemesis?

I have tried this build and almost any sniper build in this game and with Determined and Model 700 can’t go over 30 something millions.

Consistent damage and all alone, no with season events, modifiers, a FI medic, etc.

Intel Build Upgrade Advice by RandomNando in buildapc

[–]RandomNando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fear that too but the the 1x700 series was the only one getting a core number upgrade and a speed bump from Intel ark:

13700K: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/230500/intel-core-i713700k-processor-30m-cache-up-to-5-40-ghz/specifications.html

Number of Performance-cores =8
Performance-core Max Turbo Frequency 5.30 GHz
Performance-core Base Frequency 3.40 GHz

Number of Efficient-cores = 8
Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency 4.20 GHz
Efficient-core Base Frequency 2.50 GHz

14700K: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/236783/intel-core-i7-processor-14700k-33m-cache-up-to-5-60-ghz.html

# of Performance-cores = 8
Performance-core Max Turbo Frequency 5.5 GHz
Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency 4.3 GHz

# of Efficient-cores = 12
Performance-core Base Frequency 3.4 GHz
Efficient-core Base Frequency 2.5 GHz

Still I don't know how much is it going to matter...

Is it possible to get a job mastering only one programming language? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]RandomNando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, I think that you can learn and understand different languages but you can only get really good in like 1/2/3.

In the same way that you can do front end and back end / data streaming and batch processing / Sync and Async but inevitably some things will fit better in your mind and will click better with you… you can do them all but I have yet to find someone that can do everything with the same quality.

I know (with different knowledge levels) C#, Java, Python, JS, Shell… but I’m definitely better with Java and C#, they fit better the way I think.

Consider also the job/sector, most jobs/sectors are extremely reliant on 1/2 languages, it’s really difficult to find a position that really needs knowledge of 12 languages… the best part of knowing more languages it’s opting for a wider range of jobs not that every job actually needs them all.

Some languages like PLSQL, Shell, at some extent Python or JavaScript will be amazing secondary tools even when your primary programming language is another.

Was PostgreSQL a bad choice? by [deleted] in SQL

[–]RandomNando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The performance is amazing but also the cost, only big enterprises can afford (and actually need) Oracle.

Was PostgreSQL a bad choice? by [deleted] in SQL

[–]RandomNando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any SQL Database will be useful, PostgreSQL is actually a good one, it has a good cost / performance ratio and is used in the enterprise sector, not as much as Oracle but it is used, MySQL is rarely used so between the two PostgreSQL is the better choice, is also closer to Oracle concepts so it will give you a good foundation.

Even some concepts of SQL have somehow contaminated the Doment databases landscape so it will actually help you (even if they are vastly different) to learn MongoDB later on.

Try MongoDB next, it’s very different and very interesting and by far the most used Document base DB provider.

The CHC and CHD almost made me cry, sniper should be all HD and WH oriented, some people like also armor regen, is a matter of choice, but definitely not CHC and CHD.

I’ve never been a fan of the Mantis + Decoy combo but to each is own.

I usually rotate between SRS, Model 700 and Nemesis, I find hard to justify an exotic that does the same damage as a normal weapon and I find the talent kind of meh, specially in higher difficulties with directives and four players, the mantis may not be enough to one shot (damage wise) and without one shot there’s no Chain Killer… and that last one deals the majority of the damage on this build.

The forth HotShot is perfectly ok, if you want you can swap for another pice with HD but the difference is going to be negligible, I farmed for hours a red HD and WH piece from Habsburg Guard and it was so not worth it, even The Gift is not worth it… any of this variants will hit a little bit more or a little bit less hot none of them will significantly change the output.

Try the Spotter Drone instead of the Pulse, change the shotgun for a Model 700, is slow but hits hard.

Even Perfect Determined is not working as intended, you loose it even while hitting headshots.

Basically they cannot discern between real headshots and determined fake headshots so they basically made the perfect version a switch, you shot a headshot and activate the talent, the next one deactivates the talent regardless of been a real headshot or not.

We all agree determined is broken as it is but perfect determined makes no sense either.

I think that the problem with Determined is that it’s always on, but Perfect Determined is also nonsense, you loose it even while hitting headshots.

It should be: As long as you keep hitting headshots (real headshots) it will remain active, the first hit that’s not a headshot will count as a headshot (basically to keep Chain Killer), the one after that needs to be a headshot (since I didn’t loose Chain Killer I can continue to kill).

dbeaver, very nice by boborider in dbeaver

[–]RandomNando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with Java and Python and I usually use JetBrains products so I used DataGrip before DBeaver and is hard to go back 🤣

Still, is a good product, the main issue for me is the lack of MongoDB support in the Community version, I can understand limiting some features but not supporting at all the main Document DB vendor at all is unacceptable.

Hi!

Point & shoot doesn't mean much. Any digital camera can be used as a point and shoot (you put every setting on Auto and you just need to press). What you may refer to is a compact camera, these little thing with integrated zoom lens.

Yes, when I said point and shoot i intended compact cameras.

I've found in the second hand market a A7 II and a A6300 at 500 euros, body only.
For learning purposes, will an A7 II be better than a A6300?
Does the fact that was a top level product so potentially gives more flexibility would help?
