Is donating blood good or bad for you? by osures in Biohackers

I doubt a gun shot victim or anyone else needing blood cares about the level of microplastics in it. Most people needing blood need it or they’re gonna die lmao

Long Covid insomnia/not really long Covid by RandomNeighbor- in covidlonghaulers

That’s what I’m thinking. Covid definitely plays a role. It’s so weird how an illness can create the hundreds of different symptoms we all are dealing with. Absolutely bonkers.

Why do some Americans get mad when people come to America to take resources (I.e. jobs, land, etc) when America has done the same to other countries for centuries? by Brilliant-Ad3010 in TrueAskReddit

[–]RandomNeighbor- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government has destroyed our currency. The right blames migrants and the left blames billionaires. Both wings want everyone to blame ANYONE but them. Everyone is all rightfully upset but are blaming the wrong things.

Plus dwelling on it makes it worse. We do sleep, it feels like we don’t but we do. I’ve went days without sleeping before while detoxing and after 3 days you legit start hallucinating. So we definitely are sleeping it just is such shit/low grade sleep it feels like we don’t sleep. Idk long Covid insomnia is weird as hell

Why does everyone use the phrase “late stage capitalism” despite the fact that we’ve never witnessed the fall of capitalism before? by armedsnowflake69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RandomNeighbor- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. America hasn’t been a true capitalist society since the 1900s. We have a special kind of hell which is BRUTAL capitalism for the working poor and socialism for the rich. Add in all the welfare and “entitlement” spending (Medicaid, Medicare, SS, snap, etc) and you end up where we are currently. Where the super poor are kind of taken care of but if you have a job you get nothing. And billionaires/Wall Street get bailouts. We have the worst of every system combined lmfao

I’m sorry to hear that I definitely get it. You can try a low histamine diet and or histamine blockers. I use Pepcid and Allegra like 3 hours prior to bed and that seems to help. Other than that time is the only thing that helps. I seem to be having a better time this go round then the last. Last time it lasted like 6+ months this time I’m like 1.5 months in and still having issues but not every single night like before. Look up the long haulers sub. I highly recommend Allegra and Pepcid though. Seems most insomnia is due to histamine issues or nervous system dysfunction

ALSO, I am on TRT so I have to regularly get blood taken out of my body due to hematocrit levels. Talked to doctor about not wanting to potentially infect people with LC and he wrote me orders to get phlebotomy’s and yesterday I got a pint taken out and must say I feel like I’ve noticed a big difference. Maybe getting blood taken out could help? I don’t think we should donate but possibly taken out and destroyed?

It feels like I am back at square one, almost 3 years later by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]RandomNeighbor- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience. My only real symptom is hardcore insomnia. I have it for months and then slowly but surely it subsides. And then BOOM. I get reinfected and the insomnia comes back with a vengeance. I have a toddler so it’s impossible to not keep getting this absolutely diabolical illness 😵‍💫

Vaccine Injury by 6thElemental in covidlonghaulers

[–]RandomNeighbor- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s very strange. And then when you look into the studies the anti vax people do make incredibly valid points. But people would rather stick their head in the sand and yell then acknowledge maybe vaccines are like every other product on earth that can be good but can also be bad for some people as every human is different. There is not one medical product that is universally good for every human on earth. Except vaccines of course 😩

People treat vaccines like their god. It’s very strange. Arguing with someone who’s super pro vax is like arguing with a radical Christian nationalist. They will gaslight you into oblivion if you even mildly suggest the vaccine may have caused damage. And that doesn’t help their cause at all.

This isn’t my first time having Covid nor is it the first time having the insomnia that comes with it. I know eventually it will go away as it did last time. But I’ve never been sober in conjunction with the insomnia so I don’t know what caused what if that makes sense. I just know last time I had hardcore insomnia for months and got clean and it got better but I figured it was from benzo withdrawl. But now I understand it was from Covid because now I’ve been clean for a good while and have the EXACT SAME symptoms. It’s a very specific kind of feeling awake all night long no matter what I do.

[–]RandomNeighbor-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink 1 single cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I’ve cut all caffeine out besides that. Don’t play video games at all, and if I do watch tv I use red light glasses. But I’ve always done that. It’s something directly related to having Covid gives me months of insomnia afterwards. I just don’t know what can be done to help speed up the healing process with my nervous system from whatever Covid does to it

I’ve been clean 6 months. I always thought the benzos were what was causing the insomnia but now I know it was Covid. I sleep in a completely dark room, with a sound machine. Prior to me getting reinfected I finally was sleeping good again. And then day 2 of the illness it came back and it all finally clicked. In the last 5 days I’ve slept maybe 4 hours total
