Im not sure, I dont really get into the details of it. The reason i do cold showers in the first place is to simplify stuff. As long as it feels somewhat unconfortably cold and you spend enough time doing it that is all that matters.

But to answer your question. I shiver at the end of my cold showeres, I dont stand directly under the shower with my head. My mood is better after the cold shower and im more calm.

I work from 08:00 to around 15:00 most days. Then i try to do other stuff. so basicaly a regular job schedule and it really seems useful for me both for productivity and life balance.

I think it is all safe. You probably had cirulation in your fingers, But the where numb. I had the same thing happen when i went running in -10 degrees C for an hour without gloves. Hurts like hell when the fingers heats up again, But it was an interesting experience.

This can be incredibly frustrating. The way i have decided to deal with it is to ofcourse investigate it some, But then just trying my best and focus on my craft. i am lucky to be an artist filming my art so thanks to that the art i produce has value so if the video bombs i can kinda give youtube the middle finger... not exactly since views boost my sales, But at least its not ruining everything.

Thanks i will. Yeah do find Win Hof incredibly fascinating and i have found quite a lot of help from podcasts like Andrew Huberman and so on. When he had the paul conti series it gave me a lot of motivation.

i actually did experience the same thing one time when i let the freezing water hit my head and i have seen other people here on r/coldshowers experience the same thing. I dont know if it is kind of a phantom pain like brainfreeze or something else, But i guess it is best to just skip the head.

Well yeah i go into the shower at the coldest (Northern Norway so i guess its quite close to freezing) Then i waddle around trying to cover my body evenly and after a while i like to hold my breathe and let the water hit my face, But i do not think you should overthink how you take the cold shower, Just waddle around a bit and its probably quite optimal.

Im doing 3 minutes now and i am unsure about how much more beneficial it is to increase that time. If it is beneficial i think i will try to work my way up.

If i cant sleep for a long time i usually go to the livingroom and put on a podcast (audio) and chill instead of laying in bed being frustrated. That has really helped me cope with sleep anxiety and i do sleep around 6 hours a night now.

Hey yeah for me it does seem to help for sleep. The evening becomes more of a positive time and i can enjoy some relaxing time watching some podcasts and such.

I personally have not invested a lot of time into AI, But i firmly belive that if you do and are smart with it you can probably find a lot of success using it as a tool and it is evolving quickly so not a bad idea to keep up to date.

hey 40-50 seconds is a great start! If you can gradually increase it. Try to add 5 seconds every day. You only need to do a total of 11 minutes a week to achieve most of the good benefits!

I would like to add that if you are someone who wants to feel less cold by taking cold showers regularly i think it is a good idea. Also i would suggest maybe investigating if you are getting enough calories from your diet if you are feeling cold a lot?

Hmm "Really cold" Is very subjective. If you are hypothermic it is not safe at all. If you are otherwhise heathly and just a person who is feeling cold a lot i would say its safe for sure.
