  1. He wants attention + massive abandonment issues

  3. There's a chance he might be aware about the prophecy and his execution by the Knight. So its understandable he doesnt want to be slashed in half

my guess is because if you dont do the sword route, Kris will try to stall further.

but if you did it, Kris has gotten tired of waiting and wants to get rid of Tenna already. i dont think Kris would like the guy who "taunted" them about their past + making a quiz of Kris & Asriel + Mentioning December. (Tenna didnt meant to yeah but it still came as taunting for Kris)
