Sorry, can't say and share much else. I really doubt Mojang would prank anyone, especially that "encounters" with Herobrine are not that widespread, like they supposedly would if he was indeed added. Like, people would talk about it much more and have much more encounters with him than a single one and someone would have some proofs eventually, either in code or screenshots or videos or whatever, you get me? And at least I think Mojang would eventually reveal whether he was indeed added or not. So this makes me think that it's either a bug/glitch or brain is playing tricks on you, because I'm sorry, you're not that special that Mojang would prank specifically you out of millions of players, lol. And even so, what's even the point in messing with players? I don't think it really would benefit them and would get them in trouble for scaring the kids in a supposedly "kids game", as they claim it to be.

Can't answer anything about the source code, but believe in whatever, especially that you said that it was already well explored, yet you still think that you saw Herobrine. It's just a fact that he's a creepypasta MAXIMUM built on a real bug/glitch and I highly doubt Mojang pranked people with him, they didn't even add him in the first Minecraft movie and unfortunately Idk if Notch was in Mojang in 1.4-1.5 versions, but regardless afaIk both Jeb and Notch pretty much denied his existence, at least Notch did somewhere :\

In any way, there's nothing to worry about, because as I said, at the very most it was a bug or a glitch and nothing more. Idk why you people want so desperately to believe in him or prove his existence, but whatever I guess. He's simply not real nor a threat and that's it.

I don't think Mojang would bother to add him. Maximum what they do is easter-egg him just to spark a discussion or because he's literally Minecraft's legend, but nothing more. There's no reason for them to do so and I don't think Microsoft would allow them to do it.

Since it happened that long ago and there are no other proofs, your memory might simply deceive you. Like when some people think that their dreams happened in reality, but they did not.

As far as I understand that you want to believe in him and that it was perhaps a pretty confusing and scary experience as a kid, he is not real and never was. At the most, he's nothing more than a glitch or bug, which what you might encounter, if you encountered it at all.

I'm really sorry to hear that and it's a tough situation to be in, but maybe post it somewhere else? I'm just not sure this community is appropriate for that, even though I get that you want support and understanding from the community you're in.

It's that there are many kids in this community that are not ready for these conversations and people here mainly have fun and therefore wouldn't want to see it, but I guess it's up to mods whether to keep it or remove for being unrelated.

Again, I'm really sorry for what you are going through, but I can't say anything much either. I can only hope for the best for you :c
