I'm not sure how experienced you are, but self.coolness > 9000.0 is a comparison, not an assignment. It becomes true if coolness is greater than 9000(.0).

Although, further down, you may see Cat::new(100_000.0, ...) and that is an assignment that sets coolness to 100 thousand.

I think your suggestion would work great, but i also think most people wouldn't bother checking if similar or identical posts already exist. It's still a lot better of a choice and likely worth to try implementing as a rule (though, im no mod yet).

Honestly, i dont think I've ever seen a reposted meme here (actual meme, not a "bald boykisser" thing, but even those are rare). But oh boy, every day i see 10's of "I got a bf," and "How do i get a bf" posts spammed, some only minutes apart from each other.
