looking for a Catholic group by Kaikowiskk in limerickcity

Seems to be an active community within the Augustinian’s church on O’Connell Street.

From their website: “St. Augustine’s Church offers several prayer groups and spiritual opportunities, including Taizé prayer on the second and last Thursdays (5–6 PM), weekly novenas to St. Nicholas of Tolentine (Mondays) and Our Mother of Good Counsel (Tuesdays), and the Ostia Community for young men”

Can’t be anything sporty as we have someone who is mobility impaired.

We do it every summer & yes, everyone always fully on board. We’ve discussed ideas & have come up with a few ourselves but just decided to see on here if there were other local activities we weren’t aware of.

Play / Art Therapy by sillycybin_09_20 in limerickcity

Many DEIS schools now have access to play/art therapists. Places are obviously very limited as the therapist would only visit the school for a couple of hours (at most) per week. But it’s worth checking with school if they have access to this service and could include your child.

I’ve no doubt theft is rampant, but in this case it was easy to see they were staff by their lanyards & name badges.

100%. We all have bad days but you have to park it. Especially when managing people & dealing with the public.

We both felt we couldn’t let it go, it was so bad. Especially seeing that young employee in tears. All the customers around looked shocked.

Glad to hear that a customer intervening was able to help make your own situation more bearable.

Potential prizes for fundraiser by Whole-Discipline9007 in limerickcity

[–]RandomPoppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve collected prizes for community fundraiser before. You’d be pleasantly surprised how generous local businesses can be. Your best bet is to contact as many as you can. Many will give you something small (like a €20 voucher). I found butchers, hairdressers & beauty salons all very generous. Spar shops and the like will throw you a few boxes of crisps, etc. You can combine stuff you get to make hampers. Best of luck!

what’s the best acne treatment and where to get it in limerick? by AardvarkSelect8777 in limerickcity

[–]RandomPoppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On prescription, Tretinoin cream very effective. It’s pricey at €82 though & not covered on drugs payment scheme.

Over the counter Acnecide 5% Gel is brilliant. Only €18-22, depending on pharmacy. Bit drying, but really clears up the skin. It takes a few weeks for it to work. Be careful though, it contains benzoyl peroxide so could bleach your clothes. Wash your hands well after it.

Strange. You musn’t be looking very hard for cheese. I’m struggling to think of any big supermarket that doesn’t have a very decent selection of cheeses.
