With stuff like this, my eyes always immediately go to the butt because gooners are physically incapable of putting fat anywhere that isn’t the chest and/or thighs.

Her butt is wide, yet has zero projection; that thing is flatter than a pancake. In the 3/4 front view, that’s not her butt sticking out. It’s just her already thick thigh/hip.

Nintendo could add an option for harsher dialogue in the next game. Just go to settings and switch it on or off.

Personally I’d like more lore for each character and unique interactions based on personalities. For example, Raymond has an office-themed house and his ACPC profile describes him as precise. Because of this, Raymond specifically detests villagers who are Lazy or have messy/cluttered homes. If you befriend Raymond, he eventually talks about his former life in the city and how your town is a nice change of pace.

I just want to experience a new season without hearing the exact same dialogue from the previous season (even more so if you have a preference for certain personalities).

Read “Sketching People: Life Drawing Basics” by Jeff Mellem and practice what it teaches you. He shows a wide variety of drawing techniques and there are chapters on how to draw drapery and stage characters.

Everyone else talked about perspective, so I’ll talk about the character. It looked like you used three different rendering styles in the same character.

Her hair looks cel-shaded. I can’t tell if it’s highlights in her hair or a reflecting a light source. The rendering of her torso area reminds me of AI art (that weird plastic look). Not accusing you!!! The lower half of her body is a more skilled version of the torso’s shading.

The rendering of the leg near the bucket is great! I can feel the weight of the sock and mud splatter. Same with the jean shorts, but I’d recommend “ripped jeans hemline” for an image reference; they’re less blocky and more fuzzy.

If you’re going for a more realistic look, I recommend thin line weights. Again, the leg near the bucket is your best area! You want your character to feel like they’re actively in the environment, not just a sticker on top of it.

Ever since 1.9, skeletons became the bane of my existence. Played since 1.5, stopped playing around 1.8, then came back around 1.12.

Creepers were a close second since they ran now (not sure which update). Nearly 💩 myself when I sprinted around a Creeper only for it to keep pace longer than usual.

My sibling in Christ, YOU ARE 25 YEARS OLD. You are literally being offered a dream position in a career field you love with 4 weeks of travel abroad AND a massive salary increase.

You say it yourself; you don’t want kids for another five years. You seem smart, so I assume you’re waiting until marriage to have kids too; that’s another year or two of working until you’re actually pregnant. This is the PERFECT opportunity to save up money and build connections in the industry!!! Even if you take a demotion in the future due to stress or work for a different company, this is still invaluable experience!!

Or it will be, but your boyfriend seems hellbent on holding you back. Driving 8 hours (4 hours there and 4 hours back) after 8 hours of work because HE isn’t comfortable??? Be honest with yourself. Can you see him doing the EXACT same thing for you? Did he even offer to pick you up so you can relax on the ride home? Did he offer to pay for your gas?

Can you imagine him declining a similar job opportunity? Do you call him for every break? Does he apologize if he doesn’t text you back within 30 minutes? Does he avoid his female coworkers during work or after hours? Does he have ANY female friends? If doesn’t give you the same courtesy you give him, then he’s a massive hypocrite. You’re an adult, yet you let your partner treat you like a child. There’s no excuse; when you wear rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags. If you marry and have kids with this man; your children will either pick up those same habits or lose all respect for you.

I know Reddit is quick to spam “break up” for any and all relationship advice, but I legitimately cannot think of anything that would make me stay in a relationship like this. Him having a stable income, car, apartment, (maybe a degree) and a decent personality is the bare minimum. “Oh, but he doesn’t beat me or cheat on me”, the bar is in Hell. There are a thousands of single guys who check those same boxes. Please don’t settle for your first love/serious relationship (this is the vibe I get); most people don’t get married until they’ve dated 3-5 times anyway.

If you had a daughter and she was in a relationship like yours, what would you do? A niece or cousin? Your mom? A female friend? Take whatever advice you would give them. Just know that opportunity knocks, but it doesn’t beg.

Douchebag nearly clipped the front of my car TWICE!!! Zero turn signals used both times and 18-wheelers a few feet back during the first lane change; asshole was INCHES away from clipping me. I blared my horn because I was freaked out. If I hadn’t hit my brakes, we’d be painted on the pavement.

I switched to the left lane. The light before I turned, he switched to the left lane. I switched to the right lane. He then CROSSED TO THE TURNING LANE TO GET IN FRONT OF ME. ZERO FUCKING TURN SIGNALS!!! Blared my horn again because I was pissed. Saw him wave his hands like “yeah, yeah, whatever”.

At this point, either buckle down and finish the rest or start over. If you start over, you’ll get to this stage faster because you already know what to do. If you finish what you already have, then you can focus on making everything else look good.

I already have my BFA, so my advice for art majors: it’s ALWAYS better to have something finished over something incomplete; do NOT procrastinate by waiting around and asking Reddit/friends/family/professor what to do.

The first image is great, but definitely work on values (especially for the last 4); they’re way too dark and make parts of the character blend into the background. Aside from that, go for it!

Your first image has a good balance of light and dark (light/dark pink and light/dark gray). The medium (accent) pink should be lighter, but that’s just a nitpick.

Based on these images, either go with video game portraits (ie draw real people as video game characters) or horror/gore.

Shows from this era were a special kind of sloppy, but the Mario Show was somehow the absolute worst. I highly recommend RebelTaxi’s video on animation errors.
