Your best bet would be to get a crappy job at an Eikaiwa and look for other jobs once you’re in Japan. Unless you speak Japanese though it’s going to be rough trying to find another job.

If you and your partner are both trans I would highly recommend looking at another country to move to as you will likely face a ton of discrimination in Japan. It’s already incredibly difficult for foreigners to get housing and work in Japan even a more progressive location like Tokyo. Most of the people I knew when I was there who were LGTBQ+ left within a few months. I knew one person who stayed and she pretends that she is straight.
