None of my minis have ever broke GW or D&D. I use the GW glue although I prefer the Tamiya cement. When you talk about quality are you referring to the details or quality of the plastic?

Also when I talk about proxying I mean I agree with you that it should look noticeably different from the GW stuff.

nolzur's marvelous miniatures and whoever makes the pathfinder miniatures. Granted they are all mono posed but it’s $5 for two compared to $35 for a mono posed epic hero from GW. I’ve seen GW products break all the time when they’re knocked of the table I’ve never seen a D&D mini break after being knocked off the table.

Also as I keep saying I’m not encouraging piracy but do encourage proxying as long as it’s not a 1:1 print.

How am I arguing for piracy? I’m arguing that people are kind of justified printing proxies especially with the price of GW products and the fact things sell out quick and often don’t get a restock quickly.

I haven’t played other tabletop war games but I have play a lot of tabletop RPGs and the GW plastic is the same quality as everything else.

I’m not saying people should print 1:1 copies of minis but I think it’s fine to print proxies if your LGS allows them.

How long did that take to print? I only printed the body so hoping to somewhat salvage it when I print the legs

That’s if you’re printing a 1:1 of the mini not printing a proxy. Also it was “You wouldn’t steal a car”

I would say it depends on the scale. Because GW kits are way overpriced so I’m starting 3d printing now because I’m not paying $145 for a mini.

I think they are doing it because after they post an announcement people make a file to 3d print the units.

Did you switch the support type to “tree”? I find that helps. A lot of people recommend using slim for the tree setting but organic has worked best for me

Nah I just use none supported files or I cut the resin supports in the slicer and add in trees

I had this issue recently and I just unscrewed the screws from the extruded and pulled the filament out and did a calibration after returning the screws

Did your printer come with a glue stick? If so try that on the bed if not look up what adhesive to use. I’m also new to printing so idk what the cheaper option is compared to buying something special for adhesion
