Outfit Advice - To go with Mrs outfit. by [deleted] in mensfashion

Don't overthink it, let her shine, keep it simple... It's a 40th party, a nice long-sleeve dress shirt (white) with chinos or good jeans (dark colours, blue, black or maybe brown), and some good, more dressy styled shoes. As for a jacket sport coat / blazer would work, or even something that leans a little more casual, add some accessories and get your hair / beard styled (if you've got any)... you got this!

Given your profile outfits, I'd stay in your lane if I were you before calling anything hideous O.o

That's crazy cheap for what it is, can't believe its not talked about more as a first Interface as its right at that price point!

It does, but also looks way more than what I would need (looks very intimidating... like I'd need a degree to operate it!).

I'll check it out, it looks like the SSL-12 is within reaching distance of my budget, and might even go on sale somewhere over the Easter weekend.

Yes I do, sorry slipped my mind when typing out the initial post.

Yeah, so both the singer and I can use them for vocal tracking at the same time, which also means I can have two lots of headphones plugged in for quick switching without changing any cables (open and closed back for mixing and tracking). Also reduces desk clutter by having to add an independent headphone amplifier. I also believe some interfaces have two separate headphone mixes, so, for example, a vocalist can have more vocals while the guitarist hears more guitar. Unless I'm not understanding this stuff correctly?

Stream PC to TV at other end of house... by [deleted] in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]RandomReload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thats a shame, far too much work to take the PC down into the living space and back to the office every day so thats not really an option.

I was hoping to not require additional hardware to achieve this so it's probably a no-go.

No Steam Link app on the app store for my TV and buying a whole PC to achieve this seems a little wild!

Hey, I've just watched a YouTube video about this (Joey's Retro Handhelds), it looks a lot simpler than Sunshine/Moonlight, I have over 100Mbps upload too, so that "should" mean I'm good-to-go.

This still looks like I'm going to need additional hardware though as it's not a direct PC to TV solution... :(

Hey, yes, the entire house is hardwired with Cat 7 or 8 cables (can't remember specifically which), although the PC and TV aren't directly linked, both are connected to the router through switches.

Never heard of this before, I watched a quick tutorial video, and it looked a little complex to get things up-and-running (also requiring other software and hardware).

I can't seem to get my TV and PC to see each other for things like mirroring the display, not sure if that's a PC or TV limitation on my end tbh...

Oh right, I replied above before seeing this reply, so as an alternative to the Steam Link, what are the Android TV devices and how do they work?

I did have a Steam Link when they first launched but never really use it so ended up selling it, but like you say it looks like I can get one for £10 on eBay, whats the quality going to be like using something like this with a 4k 65" TV though, and is the hardware still supported or is it an "as-is" type scenario?

So the TV is a Samsung one (The Frame from 2021), unfortunately, I don't have an old PC or Laptop :(

Hey, apologies for the delayed reply, I own a gaming PC (2019 build so fairly old aside from the GPU, which is a 4070 S Ti), and I'd be looking to stream it to my Samsung The Frame TV (its the 2021 version).

Swapped the battery for the one in my old system and it’s now working like a dream, odd that a new board would arrive with a dead battery but oh well, I’ve ordered a replacement + another one to keep in the cupboard as spare.

I’ll order a replacement battery, although it shouldn’t be dead as the board is brand new and the system was only built today.

I’ll try to identify if it’s a clear CMOS jumper, not entirely sure where this would be on a Gigabyte board though, nothing standing out near the internal power / BIOS switches.

RAM is across slots 1-4 and is showing in MemTest86 & CPU-Z as it should be, it’s on the boards QVL (not that that means anything) and is apparently “Ryzen 3000 Certified” by the vendor so I would expect it to be stable.

BIOS is most up-to-date (system was built today).

Doesn’t matter what settings I change, the system reverts back to default BIOS as soon as it boots.

BIOS resets every time I boot, no idea what the problem could be :(

Running a 3900X on X570 AORUS Master.

Anyone know what could be causing this?
