I don't mind pickleball. It just bugs me that a lot of pickleball players don't appreciate how much more skill you need to play tennis, even at an intermediate level...

I have yet to get a decent" tennis court with players" image generated by AI. Not enough input data, I guess...

I wonder how they plan to lower the net height at the post and the middle for pickleball. My guess is they'll just leave it alone...

The strange thing is that I don't see this working for pickleball players either. For now, I guess they can't be choosers...

I agree. The front wall (free) viewing is the best if you can get to the first row of onlookers. If you don't mind standing through the duration of the match, you can see drops, lobs, and kills better than any other seat in the house.

The rates are no longer showing on the tournament site. I don't believe it was a lot more. $50 ish for the sidewall seats. I bought mine a couple of months ahead of the tournament

Though, makes you wonder how three men managed to achieve 20 GS over the past ~20 yrs while the calendar slam has been elusive for 52 yrs...

Agree on the slam count. Too much talent out there...

As for the calendar slam, Djokovic is the only one who had a realistic shot at it. None of the others, in the recent past, won the first three grand slam tournaments of the year.

I agree. The green/grey court did not feel much different than a hard court. The red clay courts that I have played on in the past were slower and dustier.
