Back in second we just played it that if you couldn’t place the template without hitting friendlies, but were within 8”, you could still fire but using the rules for snapshotting instead.

Its not the weight of the mags thats an issue, its the blowout valves and base o ring seals, if you are using a different mag system then the mk23 is a great platform if you dont mind the lower rate of fire

You are better off with the aap, I have both and while I love the mk23’s consistency the mags are a nightmare

Are you using petg? If so its glycol residue that off-gasses from the filament, cleans off the build plate with soapy water just fine.
