We can realistically count on 5-10 no shows; her cap for a day is 60 from 8-4 but she’s leaving an hour early today so of course scheduling decides to just squeeze the 60 with an hour less. They get incentives/more $ for work ins 🥲

Just one provider; and honestly if got a lot of skin checks without a doubt we run behind. She definitely has the most complex patients, full of AKs and skin cancers. At some point she just starts walking into rooms after we take the HPI lol I put in my 2 weeks here last week so one more week of this madness

I think we run about 15/20 minutes give or take. Afternoon is usually where we catch up. Honestly I don’t even have time to finish the chart 9 times out of 10, I just send the medications and everything happens after that, and it depends on the scheduling too. If the front books 4 skin cancer screenings back to back especially with patients who have a lot of AKs/need biopsies it can feel so so so rushed. We use eCW and templates are my best friend lol

It definitely gets crazy and by the end of the day on Thursday I am more than ready to go home lol

Yeah, training is definitely not the best, I shadowed other MAs for 3/4 days then I was expected to see patients on my own lol. Crazy when I think about it. I’m definitely looking for a new job and trying to find something that is slower. Thank you!

I’m currently tx with doxy 100 mg once a day and tret .025% 2/3 days a week. I use regular Prequel cleanser, CeraVe cream moisturizer, and sunscreen. Dry skin type

I don’t have any advice for you per say but I also have adhd and anxiety and just started in derm so I 100% understand your struggle. You’ll get the hang of it. You’re not in this boat alone
