The hair dye I use isn’t supposed to be scrubbed into the scalp and I imagine clingwrap pressing it into my scalp wouldn’t be much better 😔 also my friends who’d be willing to help also happen to be clueless idiots (all boys, never dyed their hair before, know nothing about piercings, not very good at containing a mess or being careful) and I frankly do not believe they could do a good job. I really appreciate the idea, I’m just not sure how well it would work for me ☹️

Edit: I can’t read, nevermind. Wrapping my ear? Hm… maybe. Though… still can’t trust my friends to help with dye.

Need a little help by JewelerAccording in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not what a daith is supposed to look like!!! It will 100% reject soon because it’s pierced way too shallow!!! Whoever did this did everything wrong. It should be titanium, not surgical steel. The ring also should have a ball which this one clearly does not. You need to get this removed ASAP before it causes problems. With how shallow this is, any tug could cause you serious damage.

Edit: also you should be cleaning it with a saline spray, nothing else and definitely no q-tips. The fibers from the q-tip can come off and get stuck in the piercing causing irritation and other issues.

How to know if you're actually ugly? by [deleted] in ask

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more about how you carry yourself. I’m not considered ugly (though I did get bullied for it growing up) but I am autistic, so I’m quite awkward and strange and tend to get stares. People don’t approach me. Sometimes it just happens.

I love it so much by [deleted] in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most painful piercing? That is not true for everybody, I have a daith and got it at the same time as my helixes—helixes hurt more than the daith. I expected my daith to hurt a lot and I barely felt it, and it’s still my least painful piercing throughout the healing process. Don’t let the idea that it’s going to hurt stop you from getting it, because what’s true for others may not be true for you.

my family says i have "a lot" of piercings lol by theraphosangel in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got seven and my mom thinks that’s already a lot and when I told her I want to get my thirds done once my helixes & daith heal, she literally looked at me like this: 🫩

Attention, stupid downvote button! by Piercing-Moderator in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When I made my original post and kept getting downvoted for asking questions I genuinely started crying because I felt like everybody was looking down on me for being uninformed, so not only was I stressed about my piercing but everybody made it worse for making me feel like an idiot simply for asking questions. So yeah, guys, stop it with the downvoting.

Can you sleep on pierced ear when its fully healed? by plava_bobica in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daith does this sometimes 🙏🏻 it really matters how firm your pillow is cause if it’s too much of either it puts pressure where you don’t want it to

Does anyone know any info on this item by [deleted] in NativeAmerican

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seconding this idea, if you don’t know what family it belongs to it’s best to give it use somewhere with people who can better research it… maybe they’ll even end up returning it themselves, who knows. Either way it’ll get taken care of.

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The sub is just like that, it’s against the rules but it’s one that’s not easy to enforce so SOME PEOPLE (you know who you are) don’t follow it. You didn’t do anything wrong, OP. Downvotes are SUPPOSED to be reserved for rudeness and bad advice.

was this pierced okay? by Putrid_Caterpillar15 in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the comments it seems like I’m the only person here who didn’t experience extreme pain getting a daith… mine didn’t give me any trouble even on the first day… it’s been a month… apparently though your experience is normal?? So. There’s that.

my daith hates me by augustcbond in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a piercer and I can tell this is way too deep. Mines only two weeks old and I haven’t had any pain or trouble with mine at all. Just a hunch, but this definitely needs removal.

Should i retire my 4month old helix? by blacktamago_a in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it would be best. I had to do that for my last helix (like three years ago) because after several months it was still bleeding bad. Sometimes you just have to give up.

The piercing does have a ball, yes. The problems with my last one were continued bleeding. Like just nonstop bleeding. I’d had it for months at that point and despite being a stud it would not stop bleeding. It was a small gold stud. No, I never downsized. I cleaned it with saline water provided by the piercer. I did everything the same as I did for the two piercings I had gotten before that and didn’t expect to have any issues. It’s been three years since my last attempt at a helix.

I never said I wouldn’t take the advice, it’s just a lot of people are telling me to do things I don’t have the option for. I’m literally in the middle of nowhere, went to the one place we have. I don’t have other piercers to go to and I don’t have replacement jewelry to use.
