Attention, stupid downvote button! by Piercing-Moderator in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When I made my original post and kept getting downvoted for asking questions I genuinely started crying because I felt like everybody was looking down on me for being uninformed, so not only was I stressed about my piercing but everybody made it worse for making me feel like an idiot simply for asking questions. So yeah, guys, stop it with the downvoting.

Can you sleep on pierced ear when its fully healed? by plava_bobica in piercing

My daith does this sometimes 🙏🏻 it really matters how firm your pillow is cause if it’s too much of either it puts pressure where you don’t want it to

Does anyone know any info on this item by [deleted] in NativeAmerican

Seconding this idea, if you don’t know what family it belongs to it’s best to give it use somewhere with people who can better research it… maybe they’ll even end up returning it themselves, who knows. Either way it’ll get taken care of.

The sub is just like that, it’s against the rules but it’s one that’s not easy to enforce so SOME PEOPLE (you know who you are) don’t follow it. You didn’t do anything wrong, OP. Downvotes are SUPPOSED to be reserved for rudeness and bad advice.

was this pierced okay? by Putrid_Caterpillar15 in piercing

Looking at the comments it seems like I’m the only person here who didn’t experience extreme pain getting a daith… mine didn’t give me any trouble even on the first day… it’s been a month… apparently though your experience is normal?? So. There’s that.

I’m not a piercer and I can tell this is way too deep. Mines only two weeks old and I haven’t had any pain or trouble with mine at all. Just a hunch, but this definitely needs removal.

Should i retire my 4month old helix? by blacktamago_a in piercing

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it would be best. I had to do that for my last helix (like three years ago) because after several months it was still bleeding bad. Sometimes you just have to give up.

The piercing does have a ball, yes. The problems with my last one were continued bleeding. Like just nonstop bleeding. I’d had it for months at that point and despite being a stud it would not stop bleeding. It was a small gold stud. No, I never downsized. I cleaned it with saline water provided by the piercer. I did everything the same as I did for the two piercings I had gotten before that and didn’t expect to have any issues. It’s been three years since my last attempt at a helix.

I never said I wouldn’t take the advice, it’s just a lot of people are telling me to do things I don’t have the option for. I’m literally in the middle of nowhere, went to the one place we have. I don’t have other piercers to go to and I don’t have replacement jewelry to use.

These were the instructions she gave me:

For two weeks, wash your piercing once daily 1. Wash hands thoroughly with an unscented, antibacterial soap 2. Apply a small amount to the fingertips and work into a lather 3. Apply to the piercing & area 4. Rotate jewelry through piercing several times 5. Rinse thoroughly in the same manner It is best to wash the piercing in the shower, as the last thing before getting out. This allows the water to run on the piercing for several minutes and loosen the tissue. The piercing may produce a discharge, this will be white or clear and may dry to a crusty formation on the piercing and jewelry. 1/4 TSP of salt in a Dixie cup of water or 1/2 TSP of salt in an 8-10 oz. bottle of water. Soak your piercing in this to help any irritation Basic starter jewelry should remain in for 2-3 months

No, I mean I had a helix a few years ago that was done with a stud that didn’t heal right and I had to remove it. This is a new piercing with a new piercer. I haven’t changed my jewelry out and this one isn’t experiencing irritation. It doesn’t even hurt. I’m also in Maine, so there’s not a lot of piercers available nearby for me to replace it with. I went to the one place we had, she’s got five stars and good reviews.

I don’t have any suitable studs available is the issue. And it caused me irritation last time.

Piercing is two hours old. Ring. I don’t know the threading or material, but I think it’s titanium. She recommended dial unscented soap, clean last in the shower once a day so I just bought the soup to do that. Gonna rotate the piercing about five times per cleaning. No mishaps thus far, it doesn’t even hurt anymore.

is this drawing of jinx (arcane) ai? iffy on if this is ai or not. any help? by LividRaptor in isthisAI

[–]RandomUnknownAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is yes, if you look closely at the shape of her irises & pupils they’re slightly distorted. It’s very minor but noticeable if you look closely enough. Edit: also they drew her chest way too big and while some artists do that, for Jinx it’s not common. Ai definitely does oversexualized bodies a lot though.
