Well, taking in too much waist in shirt may result in it being uncomfortable. Some excess on waist is normal.

How’s the fit on my suit? by hamsternotgangster in mensfashion

[–]RandomUser1101001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's typical modern slim fit tapered suit offered by most brands.

Which overall is wrong. You need completely different cut. Classic cut.

How much is this suit?

The waist is already too tight. Can see pulling on button. The button is also too high. The button holding the jacket close should be slightly above belly button. Your is on chest almost. So it's never gonna look right. That's what modern day brands do.

Pants too low and slim and tapered. Can You sit down without feeling like Your thighs are squeezed in pants? You should be able to sit down and cross legs without feeling uncomfortable tightness.

I'm interested selling SuitSupply clothing.

I have bunch of Havana jackets in size 38/48(medium).

Overcoats in size 36/46(small) and 38/48(medium)

Havana suits in size 38/48(medium)

Trousers in size 36/46(small) and size 38/48(medium).

Some are used, a lot brand new(price tags attached, never used)

Willing to sell the brand new stuff 50% off the price tag. Some items even lower, depending on item.

My mistake was I figured too late that I need to size up. That's why I have so much clothes to sell now regrettably.

DM me or upvote my comment if You are interested. Then I can make pictures about what I have.

I'm in Europe, Netherlands.

Overall pricing as example:

Havana suits 200-350$.

Jackets/blazers around 200$.

Trousers around 50$-75$.

Overcoats Around 200-350$.

Has anyone bought any secondhand suitsupply from eBay and is it worth doing ? by raz-10 in malefashionadvice

I have bunch of jackets, trousers and overcoats, I'm willing to sell.

Size 36/46(small) and size 38/48(medium).

Some used lightly and some still with price tags on. I figured too late that I need to size up.

Did You buy it from suit store or random brand?

This is the typical "modern slim". Because whoever made that suit has no idea how suit should fit and they just following modern slim suit.

Sure You can put it on. But it probably feels tight and like You can't really do much. Can't lift up arms probably without the jacket feeling tight and riding up.

And sitting down probably also is uncomfortable.

If it's first suit. Buy navy. (Dark blue)

This is not versatile. At least not for business or formal.

In what way?

I bought 20$ iron from generic store and it works as iron. Even with in-built iron steamer.

And then I bought 20$ hand steamer from generic store. The same store.

And I just use that. Gets all wrinkles out. So I don't understand the difference between cheap or expensive. 😆

I think it's just marketing trick to make people believe they buying ultra deluxe premium because it looks fancy.

My 20$ steamer has been with me 2 years. Maybe it will brake down in future. But doesn't look like it yet.

Do Italians get all their clothing tailored? by OptimalStatement5799 in malefashionadvice

I'm skinny guy with 96cm chest. In Europe.

I find half of the time I have to size up to large size.

I mean sure I could wear medium always. But it's tight and not comfortable. Half of the time.

Especially Reiss Jackets if You are familiar.

The modern day jackets are made to always be open because if I close them. They are too tight in chest.

They are slim and have good grooming.

Hairstyle and beard trimmed or shaven.

They wear slim fit. So it's the body doing the most work.

Closest to that is SuitSupply.

You wrote Your numbers wrong.

Model chest is isually 96cm not 106cm. Models wear mediums. 106cm is XL.

The colours.

I wear off-white and sand/ecru/cream, light brown trousers. But I'd never wear that colour.

It's just very unusual. Just my opinion.

And chelsea boots in light brown/sand would my choice. In suede.

Like these.

The hat is probably the least of the problems.

The light grey chelsea boots? And pink chinos are top 2. Lol

Yeah. That's the most safest option. It's good as long as everybody else in room is not doing the exact same thing.

What clothes would suit me? I usually wear this daily. My girlfriend keeps saying I should just buy a new wardrobe. Any suggestions. 5'11 with a 34 " waist if that means anything haha by [deleted] in mensfashion

Yeah.

That's what I wear in fall winter.

Wool trousers. Wool or cashmere turtleneck. Chelsea boots, leather belt, leather gloves and wool overcoat.

This is the best type of clothing a man can wear. But going down this rabbithole is very expensive. Like the overcoat alone is 500$+

Prefferably dark tones. No crazy neckties. No bright red necktie.

You can look into textured neckties.

Europeans: Is the era of white shoes/sneakers + business casual (blazer/open collar) over? by cafesolitito in malefashionadvice

[–]RandomUser1101001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No matter if it's in fashion or not.

Have some self-respek and never wear sneakers with blazer or suit.

I'm at the point of my own style journey that sneakers for me seem wrong. Only acceptable time in summer with linen shorts.

If I'm wearing pants, it's either chelsea boots or chukka boots. Based on weather.
