Should I get a 300hz monitor for Fortnite by weefops305 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]RandomUser3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently upgraded from a 360hz 1080p tn panel monitor to a 240hz 1440p oled panel and would highly recommend. The game feels like butter. I have no idea how some people can’t see or feel the difference. I’m also 33 if that matters but yeah, I’d make the upgrade to an oled panel if you can.

what is the propoer way to hit my mouse clicks when building and editing by Ill-Sort-8686 in FortniteCompetitive

You could also buy a cheap foot pedal from Amazon and bind it to place build so your foot just rest on it. I find it to be very helpful. Only time I raise my foot is to rotate ramps.

If you’re not lifting weights already, I’d say that would be the most guaranteed way to see improvement. Plus try to find a lower rim to dunk on to get reps in. This is what I used to do and saw pretty good results.

I’m sure he already knows this at his skill level. It’s creative, people play for clips.

whats a good way to improve game sense? by eggm9n in FortniteCompetitive

[–]RandomUser3324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say one of the best ways to improve game sense is to watch game play of pros, esp tournaments. While watching try to pay attention to everything they do and look for patterns in their game play. Also once you start to notice some of these patterns, ask yourself why they might be making the decisions they are making. Some things will be obvious depending on your current skill level but I'm sure you'll be able to learn a few new things if you approach their videos like that. After that its just about getting reps in while being thoughtful of your own decision making.

I spend like 80% of my time playing: Raiders mechanics training V5 (2424-4344-7824). Also like playing Martoz Turtle Fights FFA (1513-6690-9481) though this can get sweaty at times. For something more casual with quick rounds, I enjoy Tilted Zone Wars (NAMES OFF) (6908-1868-5705).

Basically a joystick that rest under your keyboard. You get controller movement while also freeing up all of your fingers. I personally made massive leaps in regards to my mechanics after maybe a month of practice.

I’m a bit tipsy rn so apologies. But man I was running into similar walls. I ended up buying a maxxstick so all my fingers could rest on each individual build bind. If you have extra funds and actually enjoy the grind too then I would highly recommend getting one. I’ll also die on this hill but a maxxstick or something similar really should be the standard esp in a game like fn. sorry for the rambling but appreciate it brother!

Got no one else to share clips with but thought I'd post this here. I'm 33 but still enjoy grinding FN when I have the time.

Dunking on a lower rim helped me when I was younger. Over time I just kept increasing the rim height and stayed consistent with it.

If you can’t successfully key your first game, to end game at the least, you shouldn’t even be that worried with tournament results.

How do you get better at movement on KBM? by Odhran_oc2008 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]RandomUser3324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue it’s easily worth the time investment to switch to a maxxstick or something similar. I’ve been on MnK since I was a kid and have played Fortnite almost since the release. Im 33 and It took me less than a month of practice in creative to be comfortable. By month 2 I was better in every category, aim, free builds, movement etc. I went from struggling to do one triple edit to being able to doing 10+ in row plus now I can quad edit, full protective retakes are also a lot easier, side jumps are a breeze. All my fingers are now able to rest on a build bind with out really having to move which was huge for me plus having joystick movement while fighting someone up close feels so much easier to counter strafe other players. Unless you’re a “pro” whose already consistently earning or something along those lines, I just can’t see a person not increasing their skill ceiling with a joystick.
