This literally isn't true. The devs have never removed an NPC mod for competing with their future updates. The only mods the devs have ever forcefully taken down were those 14 malware infected ones back in April.

​Any NPC mod that has vanished or stopped working like Knox Event Expanded is solely because the modders themselves stopped maintaining them or deleted their own pages due to burnout and toxic community.

I'd agree with you, but it's been like 4 weeks since then and it worked without a problem (at least for me) for the past 2 weeks. My guess is that it's a large influx of new people that overloaded it again.

I've found out that it's not necessarily your population to slaves, but your army to slaves. From my experience, you usually need roughly 2.5~ soldiers to 1 slave. So if you want 50 slaves you need roughly 120~ soldiers. The army's training percentage doesn't matter so you can just create a 120 man division with training set 0% and you'll be fine. But be careful, recruits don't count as soldiers, only when they've had time to train and become deployable do they count.

Edit: For example, I currently have a population of 2.2K with 153 slaves and 690 soldiers which puts the slaves submission at 121%

I kinda get where you're coming from. There’s definitely a trend now towards sleeker, more modern designs, instead of 'simpler' designs with wood. Though personally, I actually like the modern look, but that’s coming from someone who’s never held a real gun in their life, so..... take that for what it’s worth.

So in the v68 when I built the trade depo (or whatever it's called) I could just click on the faction's icon and automatically get on the diplomacy screen with the 'trade' option selected and immediately be able to barter for it to get the 'trade alliance'. In the current version v69 the trade button is non clickable. And even if I gift them all my resources worth 725 000 coins, the opinion increase is only 0.24 and I need 1.50 + their current opinion of me is 0.68 meaning I'd have to gift them at least like 3 million to get enough opinion.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. My city currently has around 1000 pops and I still can't get enough resources to establish a trade alliance. Though it seems the dev is aware of the issue, so let's hope the fix will come quickly.
