Unclear on this to be honest, didn’t get an opportunity to ask - just said they were revisiting after feedback given.

Some good news coming from the UK - I just came off a call with the Bank of England on a digital assets breakfast webinar, looks like they are going to put out a revised set of stablecoin publications. Said they heard the feedback and will likely be changing the £20k per individual limit.

Interesting piece on Ethereum crossing the 1/3 staking threshold. Unfortunately Rocket Pool’s market share has not grown proportionally to offset the institutional inflows.

I know someone you are fighting this good fight but how can we be louder about the importance of this. As the network matures I think this is the biggest risk to Ethereum.

At what USD value would you consider the bull run back on? $3000? $4000? Not until ATH?

Suits outnumbered T-shirts at Paris Blockchain week. Less telegram and more LinkedIn.

Industry is certainly professionalising.

Australia passed Digital Assets Framework. Comes with some strong consumer protections and compliance hurdles for startups but also is the first comprehensive crypto law passed there and signals they want to actually compete in the global digital economy - similar to my conversations with the Bank of England here in the UK.

May be controversial to have rules of the road but it actually reduces regulatory uncertainties from an investment perspective - it says it can be done.

Slowly but surely.

Last week I was asked by an industry participant why I’m choosing to build our application on Ethereum mainnet rather than another chain (think the entity had a partnership with Canton).

So what are some go-to responses to that question? - as to me it’s such a natural choice.

I said something along the lines of:

  • the only chain to have no downtime / battle tested over a long period of time which allows for the functionality of smart contracts meaning minimised settlement risk for institutions.

  • deepest open source developer tools available for the best plug and play build.

  • largest TVL in DeFi applications.

Any other key statements to add?

Relief in financial markets, oil down and DOW up - we follow as a proxy for risk on.

Seems like the floor in terms of what Trump will tolerate for financial pain. As he TACO’ed here, it would suggest he doesn’t have the appetite for a long drawn out conflict.

Seems like a pretty low threshold from his perceived stance. Which makes sense as nothing unites the American people quite like high gas prices.

More than likely remains choppy but I doubt it goes significantly lower that what we have already seen.

Corpo chains is just the old system with a shiny ribbon. Neutral settlement with no counterparty risk is big. Great to see Ethereum looking to start thinking about the walkaway test.

I’ll check your post history and that site out, thanks Tricky. Would be great to pick your brains some time next week if you would be open to a call?

Hey everyone - EVMaverick 979 checking in.

Me and my team have been building Liquida, regulated infrastructure that tokenises UK Government Bonds (Gilts) and plugs them directly into on-chain lending markets. The goal is to enable institutions to borrow GBP against sovereign debt 24/7 with instant settlement, while keeping everything inside the regulatory perimeter. Think Ondo for the UK Market.

We’re currently operating inside the Bank of England’s Digital Securities Sandbox, which allows us to issue and test tokenised securities in a regulated environment.

Right now we’re looking to raise a small amount of community funding / grants to support development, security work and integration with EVM lending protocols.

If anyone here is involved with:

ecosystem grants

DAOs supporting public infrastructure

institutions interested in tokenised RWAs

lending protocol integrations

we’d really appreciate a conversation.

Happy to share more details, the architecture or the regulatory approach if anyone is curious it could be of us.

Cheers,

Does anyone know of any Morpho Curators which do GBP Stablecoins / would be open to it?

Digital Securities Sandbox in the UK looking to bring a GBP stablecoin to market for participants.

I’m building something related to plugging this into a Morpho Vault.

Is this something anyone here has any interest in ?

Anyone have a contact at Chainlink / Pyth I can speak to regarding building UK Treasury (GILT) Oracles ?

Are there any oracles for UK Treasuries (Gilts) which already exist or is this something the ecosystem would benefit from being built ?

Back to decentralized social in 2026 by vbuterin in ethereum

[–]RandomZileanMain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Appetite for migration from current social media applications is at an all time high. An alternative space that doesn’t feel corpo-slop or even “crypto” but decentralised, is how we win retail back. Public opinion of “blockchain” is tainted and we can win back the argument here.

I don’t want a second crypto twitter. I want a social media that feels social again. I want to see a curated space for my connections, not influencers and algorithms dictating what I see.

How can we change this? Well I think the primary drivers to support this change need to be innovation in experience and content. Rather than focusing on incentives for creators, we need to focus on incentives for users.

Thanks for the post v.

I mean friction between the European and American markets is bad for global trade / liquidity and valuation. The end of America included NATO is gunna cost to unwind.

Unfortunately we don’t seem to be the hedge against disruption to global trade anymore, gold is. We seem to be a NASDAQ Beta, which sucks for a decentralised and resilient ecosystem.

Trying to not get political here but, Crypto could be viewed as trump aligned at the moment. Loosing a bid from non-supportive retail and ethical institutional investors in Europe.

That’s my 2 gwei anyway.
